AWKWARD ZOMBIE

On May 20th Supergiant Games (creators of Bastion) are releasing a new game! It's called Transistor, and it's about a babe with a sword who's gotta get her voice back and fight off assassins. Or something like that.

It's available for pre-order, along with the soundtrack. So who's pumped?

I never actually played Bastion but it still looked really cool and I will probably pick Transistor up eventually. Not for a bit though, I've got other things to burn through.

Gimmie that soundtrack supergiant games, I need it.

also my computer is too much of a dinosaur to play transistor :') but i need a new computer anyway since this one is half-broken so i guess this is a sign

So this game is really good fyi and everybody who doesn't have it should probably pick it up. my only complaint sofa is that the trade-offs to not having the dodge move is not matched by just having a dodge move. Unless there are more defensive options I haven't gotten yet. I almost always have the first two functions and jaunt() equipped just because they maximize utility vs. ease of use. Although there are a lot of fun functions to try out.

I don't know how I feel about the loss condition is that the function you used last is lost for a bit, sense that could be jaunt and then life would be a lot harder, but whatever. I also like how the game is split up into smaller fight zones like Viewtiful Joe and such, and they almost always give you an access point to look at stuff/heal up.

this game has ruined me

I do actually have another small complaint, and that's that in the challenges they often give you pre-chosen abilities, but there is no way too look at what functions do away from an access point, so sometimes you are given a new function but don't know what it does and have to spend time learning how if functions. It isn't the worst but I basically had to learn what get() does in a speed challenge and that clearly wasn't the point, so it seems like they should just let you review what your currently equipped functions do at any time.
