thanks to emulation and fan translations it becomes possible for people to play games that never saw localization but i didn't see any threads for people who want to talk about this so i decided to start one.
so feel free to discuss anything about any games that were never localized or your feelings on emulation which let's not forget is illegal.
for me i see no problem with emulation as long as it's either an older game that isn't sold in gaming stores (when my financial situation improves i should probably go to the eShop and buy the games i've been emulating) or fan translations of games that were never localized (i have tried learning Japanese once and i've learned that learning foreign languages is difficult. i already know 2 languages anyway and that's more than a lot of people).
lately i've been playing a Square RPG called Live A Live. it features 7 main protagonist each living in different eras throughout history, each have their own story and their own enemy. my favorite story is the Mecha era, a psychic boy along with his robot sidekick and his best friend uncover a government conspiracy to sacrifice a shit ton of people to resurrect an evil god and at the end our hero has to pilot a giant robot to fight tanks, fighter planes and said evil god. also this music
