The new ones, not the old ones. For once in my entire life a Pokemon game came out that was actually better than the one before it. So, Darkness/Time. I'm going to give a fucking good review whether you want me to or not.
If you're an old school Pokemon fan, this game is awesome. |D I don't know what is it about it that makes me think it fits the old style better than Red and Blue PMD. Second, it's also not the friendliest game for little kids with nothing to do. You actually have to think. Usually Pokemon games don't have much of a problem with that, but lately... You know. All those little shits running around playing video games probably gave Nintendo ideas.
Positives? It has a good balance of new and old pokemon. There aren't many Pokemon from the 3rd gen, and although there are quite a few from the 4th gen, the game does not revolve around them. The characters are a lot like old school pokemon characters, as are the bad guys. The controls are pretty easy to get used to, and you don't really have to go through menu after menu just to do something. The graphics aren't annoyingly tiny, because in the important parts where you have to see they actually try not to do a half-assed job.
Negatives? Well, the positives basically overrule them. The game is a challenge, at least for me. It's seriously frustrating when they give you something to do and then it sounds easy, but then by some chance or other, it turns into a fucking monsterhouse. bodaciously. When you're finally getting the hang of not getting killed in one hit, you wander randomly into a room and fifteen fucking pokemon jump out at you and surround you on all sides.
Your partner is fucking retarded. 'Nuff said.
Your stats suck. Your accuracy is awful, your HP is low compared to how much damage your opponents hit ya for, your best attacks also only have about 11 or 12 PP, and a lot of times it takes forever to level up.
You have to be very careful what buttons you push, considering if you do it wrong in a dungeon you might start randomly moving which is a very bad thing indeed.
Anyway, the game is fun and you should buy it. Although of course, some common sense moves must be made if you want to survive the first time around. Before every dungeon, put all your cheddar in the bank. All of it, you greedy little bastards. Go to storage and put any item you may not want to use just yet in storage, then take out items you may need. Never take anything you want to keep into a dungeon, unless you're gonna have to use it. And more importantly- Do not teach your partner a move that they will definitely fuck up somehow. Trust me, they'll find a way.
YAY LONG POSTS. :awesome: it's been forever since I posted here. Peace out, man.
