Anyone else with high hopes for this crossover? Especially since unlike most crossovers it's gonna be an RPG and not a fighting game.

I'm a little annoyed that I've been convinced to get a WiiU now.

I remember having a pretty similar reaction to the reveal of Pokemon x Nobunaga's Ambition/Conquest. I have no idea how this will turn out but I'm still hyped.

I think it's only mainline SMT games.

Not that I'd complain if they included Persona characters, but it's unlikely.

I'm quite interested in this since I'm a fan of fire emblem and have heard some good things about the Persona games. Been watching an LP on Persona 4 to get somewhat of a grasp on the series.

Actually it looks like this is just main line SMT. The persona games are a spin-off series so I'm not sure if they are going to be in this.

I have no experience when it comes to the Shin Megami Tensei series, so any is fine for me.

I'm just assuming that because just main series SMT casts were shown. The Persona, Digital Devil Saga, Devil Summoner, Soul Hackers, Strange Journey, or Devil Survivor casts might show. I highly doubt the Devil Children casts would be in this. That would be so many characters though.

They do seem to be including representation of most of the Fire Emblem games, though. There's always the chance that SMT will follow suit.

Aren't these both series that are LOADED with characters?

While it is awesome, Persona 4 is the most pop flyin'-go-lucky game in the SMT overseries. Most of the others have main characters dying, friends betraying you, worlds ending, nukes going off. I mean act 1 of Shin Megami Tensei 1 ends with a nuke being dropped on Tokyo right after you beat the first boss and the MC and the female lead hiding in some pocket dimension. Even compared to the other Persona games P4 is really light hearted. I mean you fight Adolph Hitler and Cthulhu in Persona 2, and I think most people know how Persona 3 ends.

In P2, it wasn't Cthulhu it was Nyarlathotep. Get yo facts straight. Also in P4 the world was totally gonna end if you didn't stop the big bad.

Also, didn't P4 Arena hint at the possibility that They're going to do something to try to save P3's protag in whatever game Atlus decides to make after P4A's continuity?

It's something one of my friends was raving about, though I'm not sure if it's more a symbolic thing or an actual resolve or whatever.
