The Pokemon games will never be as good as the second generation games.

Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, and Silver were the best Pokemanz games ever. Everything else afterwards seems forced.

Agreed mostly. The series has been stagnant since the Game Boy games. I'd like the game to play out more like Super Robot Taisen (not the battle system, but the battle animations). Instead of seeing a Pokemon shake, insinuating a tackle, I'd like to see the animation of that Pokemon charge across the grass and slam right into the opponent's. That would be badass.

My first was red too, but Silver is my favorite. It took everything that was good about the first games and made them better and then added a whole slew of other awesome things. The third and fourth gen games have just worked on over-complicating things (berries, for example. I miss the simple naming and function of them from S/G/C. I hate having my bag bogged down with worthless berries with gay names.) while adding little to no worthwhile original content.

I haven't even bothered playing the new games, so I'm not sure exactly what's wrong with them

However, what I do know is that all the new pokemon in each seem....weird, y'know? The original pokemon were cool because they were just that, pokemon, representing different animals and elements. They had simplistic, and sometimes complicated but still cool-looking, looks, so they were good.

After Gold and Silver, they just seemed to become more and more forced. They were making arbitrary pokemon, with not much reason, or something.

You know what I mean?

A pokemanz game that's storyline wasn't the boring "catch all the pokemon, get all the badges, stop the evil organization" thing you expect from pokrmanz games, plus it's a hell of a lot harder to beat, especially since it has 2 storylines. It was given a 4 of 5 by x play.
