Yakuza 4 is coming to a close soon, and so is the Best Friends' mailbag, according to their Facebook. I knew it was going to happen sometime sooner or later.

I didn't catch it, are they outright closing their PO box or just not doing the videos anymore.

Also, I dunno about you guys but man does Kiryu feel really unattached to the plot. Like, he just doesn't say or do anything interesting except be Kiryu and solve all the problems by being around. I get why Kiryu is there but it even Akyiama feels more central to the actually plot. Also I like that the reason Kido had access to the Yakuza office back it part 2 was because he was secretly in cahoots with them. And also the secret office vault behind he Scooby-Doo bookshelf was goofy as shit.

Yeah, you're right. Kiryu feels like he's there because the devs and the writers felt like he needed to be there. If he appeared several times throughout he story for the parts of the plot that specifically include him and feel like they work, such as when Saejima escapes from SuperJail, it would make for a better story IMO

Oh yeah, they also said there still taking print letters. They're just shutting everything down for the large packages. How did they even get all of that stuff to their apartment anyway? And show multiple times that they can't even drive? Do they ask Billy to help them? Do they take multiple trips on the metro?

It must be that the Montreal Public transit system is just that good.

The fact that they're turning off packages for the mailbag feels really sad to me. Like, they need to do it, because it's too much for them to handle and they're getting way too much stuff for them to keep in their apartments. But at the same time, they have too much because people actually love them that much to send them really cool stuff.

It's sad for those of us that were hoping to send them stuff, but it's sad for the Zaibatsu because they have to essentially say "You people are too awesome for us to keep going." Everything about the Mailbag was super hype for both sides and to see it go, even for legitimate reasons, is a bit of a let-down.

I think the new buttons are ugly. And also pandering for subs.

I was just worried people were gonna shitstorm about it for no reason

I don't mind it, I actually kinda like it
But it just takes away from the overall Grump experience

All it does is add some graphic to the end of the video. They still do those hard cut offs, plus there's like a five second sound bit at the end of somebody doing something entertaining.

Yeah man, I'd hate for all those penis jokes to be ruined to a small graphic at the end of the video.

Well, that mailbag was quite a doozy. That Flared Chance had to be XL sized. I'm not sure the next two parts can top that.

I just don't like how it's the focus of every "next time on Game Grumps" now, but I think that'll end pretty quick

That room where the guys were mannequins was stupid, but more stupid then that was 5 seconds latter when Kiryu used Zero Shift because I don't know.
