just drink a thousand potions. I think there's a quick key for drinking every kind of potion you have at once. Stock up on anything increasing attack, water-breathing, the anti-grav, and obsidian skin.

Straight line method is awesome if using Megashark/Minishark. I can take down WoF in under a minute.

we flattened the hell terrain right to the edges of the map. he spawns towards which ever side of you that is further from spawn point. i think the potion hot key is 'b'

Wrong, he always advances in the direction of the exact center of the map. So if you're to the left of the center, he'll come from the left and move right, and vice versa.

I've had a server going for a couple days now where me and a bunch of random people in the official Terraria Steam group had completely new characters in a new world.

It is now reaching the point where we are super close to fighting the various hard-mode bosses. We fought the Twins, and it was somewhat of a trainwreck on our end. We got owned, but still ended up beating it before the night was over.

Started playing Terraria because OA recommended (read: threatened to gift it to me) it. I've been enjoying it. I can't seem to get my hands on any magical weapons. I got full jungle armor before I even went into the corruption, CHEATING THE SYSTEM. About ready to challenge Skeletron.

Seems like an odd thing to make happen based off of what direction you are facing. What if you throw the doll in and start to run before it hits the lava?

Pretty sure that doesn't make it spawn from the opposite direction. :<

Maybe one of us should do a real test on the matter and decide this once and for all.

"When you summon it, take note of your position. The Wall of Flesh will appear in the direction of the closest world edge. (If you are east of the center, it will appear to the east, and vice-versa)"

What happened to you was most likely a bug, because I went ahead and tested it multiple times and it's true. So there, argument over.

The wall of flesh spawns on whatever edge of the map is closest to you, not what direction you're facing. -CONFIRMED

You know, twins are possible the worst boss to take on first :/ (Screw you spazmatism)

Destroyer is easier, YOU CAN bodaciously OUT DPS IT.
