Fight Garchomp with Garchomp.

My Garchomp was better than Cynthia's... apparently. Gash (my Garchomp) wiped it out with one or two Dragon Rush attacks.


The rest of Cynthia's team was pretty unremarkable too.

Umm...About a week.

Garchomp isn't that bad if you come with a shitload of Revives and several tricks up your sleeve. I took it out after a while, and after that it was smooooooth sailing.

It was, however, probably the hardest of all the E4 pokemon to take out, if my memory serves correct.

Seriously, just use Garchomp vs. Garchomp.


I didn't have to use any heal items or anything against Cynthia with that method.

I think I oneshotted her garchomp with a critical hit from my Weavile.

I just switched my staraptor in and out until its attack power was wimpy enough for my empoleon to fire off ice beam.

Of course now I have to ask where I get a Garchomp.

You can get one in Victory Road, I think. Or if you want to put in the effort, there's Gible in Turnback Cave to raise.

I beat Garchomp without a single super effective move.

I tried to use Ice Beam on it but it was faster than my Empoleon and... Yeah. ;-; I basically Hammer Arm'd and Stone Edge'd it, then sent in my Umbreon with Toxic to finish the job. Or something like that. See, my Rhyperior had that one ability that lowers the power of Super Effective hits, so I just beat her Garchomp down until it was prime for the pickin'. I do these sorts of things a lot.

You can only get Gabite, not Garchomp.

The whole game I was preparing for that Garchomp. I had a Garchomp, a Weaville, and a Gyrados to try to take it down. Eventually, Weaville became useful for 1/3 of it's HP, and then Garchomp got it down. So yes, always use Garchomp against Garchomp. Or a decent ice type if you can get one.

Why don't you just use Floatzel?

My Floatzel wiped it out in one shot with Blizzard.
