The problem with the recent starters is that their heads are too daisies big compared to their bodies.

Pikachu sucks. It's defense is shit. PLUS IT'S OVERUSED AS A POKEMON.
Why does everyone LOVE Pikachu? My Raichu could kick its yellow booty south of the Donna Dixon line!

Two words: double damage. With it, you have max attack and special attack stats that're nearly as good as Deoxys's attack form!

Ideas bombard my mind like invisible juggernauts. I'm going to draw a picture of my Raichu kicking a Pikachu while he yells, "That's for being a show-stealing DICK!"

That's been that way with starters since Gen2. Excluding in Collosseum.

Shiny Rapidash sucks. Grey fire? Why can't it be blue like Shiny Ponyta?!

In Gen 2, their heads were about the same size as the bodies. In Gen 3, their heads were about twice the size of their bodies (when you average all three together). In Gen 4, it just gets plain ridiculous, most noticeably with Chimchar.

At least their final evolution stages still look pretty cool.

Oh god you are right, how did I never notice this before?

I reckon they were trying to make them cuter, but it fails miserably.

The "Too big noggin" problem seems to go away as they evolve. Torterra and Emploeon have rather small heads.

I actually think that they're heads bodaciously get smaller as they evolve. Someone should compare their head sizes somehow to check this.

Edit: Also, I forgot to mention that in Gen 1, their bodies are several times bigger than their heads (except bulbasaur).

But Piplup has about the same head size ad a Gen2, and Turtwig has the smallest relative head size of any of the post-Gen1 starters!

Of course, that only applies to the starters. The rest of the Pokemon vary greatly, but generally don't increase in head size. Except when you count Wailmer.

Actually, I think that it's Treecko that has the smallest post-gen 1 relative head size.
