If you don't have a mod that turns spell reflection to spell resist then be very careful of magic. The weirdest things have spell reflect that'll kill you dead.

I was doing the part of the main quest where you go meet the ashlanders and got a bit lost on the way and ended up at a fortress. Outside I found a corpse with a full set of Ordinator armor, inside I found several ascended sleepers and other fun things. I cleaned the place thoroughly and got some really good loot.

I found an ancestor tomb filled with vampires. But reading up on vampirism in Morrowind looks like it's pretty bad apart from the huge stat ups you get. Like you can't do any quests besides the few that don't require talking to people, and the whole "dying in the sun" part. I'll miss out on a few quests but oh well.

The whole point of vampirism in Morrowind is either to roleplay or to get the special items from vamp quests before turning back to human and wiping out all three families.

There are three vampire castes you can join that have pretty cool questlines.

Yep, but I still turned back as soon as I was done with my clan's quests and returned as a human again to murder them all.

I enchanted all of my gear and exquisite items with constant sanctuary/restore health/chameleon effects. Now I'm going to go back to the main quest after this brief 10 hour distraction.

When you can achieve 100% Chameleon some very weird things happen. Since enemies can't see you the instant you hit them they will run away. Forever. Some will even run out of the dungeon and make you chase.

Bunch of grand soul gems? Check.
Soul Trap? Check.
Summon Golden Saint spell? On my way.

The only question remaining is what I want to enchant on what.

I trained my conjuration up from 15 to 80 just to summon golden saints.

Maybe I should train Enchantment while I'm at it too. I got plenty of cheddar but I read that a high Enchantment also lowers the amount of charges used by on strike and on use enchantments.

Yeah and makes recharging with soul gems more efficient.

I also came across a random strong daedric enemy in the wilds who dropped a daedric sword worth 40k. Trading these items with Creeper 5k at a time is always fun.

Expensive things are annoying. I already found a bunch of high value loot in the dungeon with the quest where you have to find the weapon smugglers in Solstheim. Each piece worth thousands where 99% of merchants have less than 1000 in gold to pay for it sucks.
Also gonna wait until I do Solstheim until after the main game I guess. Enemies are pretty stronk, I had to retry a dozen times to beat the last guy in that dungeon.

The content in the expansions is significantly more difficult than the main game, especially Bloodmoon.

Should I buy Morrowind? I've got Oblivion, I've put like 100 hours into it but I haven't beaten the main quest yet. It hasn't captured me the same way Skyrim has but it's still fun to play sometimes.
