Hey, remember that Member Key I got a good long while ago? Yeah, this is where I finally get to put it to use!
Err... hi? Wait, hasn't this place been closed for about 50 years now?
Oh god!
I've wandered into a Professor Layton game!
ZERG RUSH!
Oh.
I'm sure that's meant to be creepy, but considering there's a delivery guy that keeps knowing exactly what PokeMart I got to next...
I do have to wonder what sorta inn only has one room in it...
Aaand now I'm on an island.
SENSE MADE!
But apparently, I lost the ability to minimize into a tiny figure so that I can ride on the boat. Hmm.
Another open clearing. On an island called Newmoon Island. Wow, the game developers really did have no sense of originality!
AND A DARKRAI TOO! I DID TOTALLY NOT SEE THAT COMING! OH SHOCK AND SURPRISE!
Wait, wait, wait... so now Epilepsie can give people horrible horrible nightmares too?
A Porygon?!
Faint Attack is... a pretty flipping weak attack for a Level 50 Legendary! I mean, it's just a 60-power always-hit attack. And it's a physical attack too, but Darkrai has 50% more Special Attack than Attack.
See that? THAT is a powerful move!
I mean, if it wasn't used by Epilepsie.
The fact that Epilepsie managed to get it down to half-damage, in one hit, is proof enough that Darkrai is seriously overrated!
It's sorta embarassing, I actually have to use Discharge instead of thunder because the latter is all too likely to outright kill it! Geez!
...yeah, I just did this for the sheer fun of it! It's always amusing to watch a HM Slave get utterly thrashed by a Pokemon that causes terrible nightmares! Eheheh!
...
Karma's a bitch.
Well hey, at least we now have the knowledge and understanding of what it's like when a tiny bird gets utterly pulverised by a superpowered being of nightmares!
Man, I just love False Swipe! Even though I only used it, what, three times or so in the entire game?!
At this point, all I have to do is put it to sleep.
Before it puts Roosevelt to sleep. It
is Darkrai, after lal!
Oh yeah. I REALLLY flipping hate Double Team! Even moreso in wild battles!
But hey, at least it's not teleport. GODDAM RALTSES!
GODDAM DARKRAI!
Oh right, I never explained what's so bad about Darkrai's Bad Dreams ability.
Basically, at the end of each turn spent asleep, the opposing Pokemon loses 1/8th of its health automatically!
Remember, Roosevelt gets automatically cured of status effects on switch-out. Plus, Gardevoir has a handy-dandy Trick Room that could be useful right about now.
Okay, y'know what? I take back what I said about Darkrai being pathetic. Darkrai IS A FUCKING BASTARD!
On reconsideration... I'm not entirely sure what the entire point was on using Trick Room. Aside from inevitably wasting a turn, that is.
WOO, finally!
GO, POKEBALL! (*ugh*)
Oh yeah, did I mention that it's actually night? Yeah... umm... some dark cosmic forces changed the time as soon as I started battling Darkrai.... or something like that. Totally true!
Did I also mention how much of a bast it is to catch Darkrai?
As I found out, Faint Attack is not only Darkrai's weakest attack, it's also his
only attack!
Seriously, this must be the suckiest legendary ever!
....pfft! Sorry, I couldn't resist trying it once!
WHAT A SURPRISE! I AM TOTALLY SURPRISED!
I really wish he'd stop waking up in such a way that makes it significantly harder to put him back to sleep.
...or, it'll happen in the very next turn. Nevermind.
I'm a one-trick pony.
That throws dusk balls.
FINALLY! Seriously, I really hate legendaries that pull tricks that make it really hard to put them to sleep!
So let me get this straight...
Despite meaning no harm...
It still feels the need to give everything else nightmares?!
Although it does need protection. That match was pathetic!
I'm so witty!
Oh god, it's like the very beginning of the game all over again!
Except this one seems all too fond of BLATANT LIES!
Seriously! Voice! I'm standing RIGHT HERE!
Yeah. I mean, it's ONLY BLOCKED BY A LARGE PART OF THE SEA!
But y'know, I'm sure a person can swim across WHEN THEY'RE COMPLETELY ASLEEP!
UGH!
Wait, what?
WHAT A BLOODY COP-OUT! UGH!
