And for that matter? How would you make the enemies attack?

There are those Snagrets who walk/hop. Also I guess it could just be a bump in the ground that follows you and then when you want it to attack it does.

Speeking of spider things, in the forest of hope I finally got some blue pikmin and started to try moving the dark latticed gate so it get down to the last 3rd the suddenly:

"Hey is that a giant beetle....why's it only got four legs..aggghhhhh it's facing me AGGHHH IT'S A SPIDER RUN RUN FORGET THE GATE!!!"

And that matter is still unresolved. I read on the Pikmin Wiki that there's also a glith that makes it chase after you if you don't finish it off, but I don't know if that effects the Wii Version (what I have) or the GCube version.

I remember reading somewhere that Miyamoto said that we could expect armies of 500 Pikmin in the field in Pikmin 3. I dunno, maybe he said it was being considered or something. Either way, it sounds awesome.
