More future less steampunk, really. They're almost the same.

The only similar thing I've found is the powers and their system for working.
Out of curiosity, when you say same twist, do you mean that they both had the "guy you thought was on your side wasn't" twist, or that they both had the mind control thing?"

Because if they both had the mind control thing then wow they are really lazy about coming up with twists.

It wasn't mind control in SS2. SHODAN was just way more evil than Fontaine could wish to be. Also, 3 deep spoiler tags.

Then I wouldn't say it's really the same twist. The twist in Bioshock was more about the mind control thing. The fontaine thing was more of an excuse to extend the story a few hours. But I've never played SS2 so I could be wrong.

Yeah, I guess you're right. Although I will say that I thought SHODAN was a much better villain, as you are still being controlled. It's less about mind control and more about "You're the mouse in MY maze." I still get shivers about the sanctuary scene in SS2.
I got myself one of those new Spyro games with Elijah Wood as the voiceactor like a year ago.

I don't like it AT ALL.

Yet I feel like I should finish it for some reason.

SET IT DOWN.

Go play the first or second one.
