I hope they implement (or someone makes) something that makes you able to add custom entities to the game. I played through Blue Portals, and the guys there made Fire Cubes, Ice Cubes, Anti-Emancipation Grill Cubes, Flashlight Cubes, Light Sources, Magnets, and a lot friggin more.

You should play Blue Portals, it's only for the PC though.

Well, you should check it out then. I think it's better than the first Portal (gameplay, not comedy), even if there are some stupidly hard parts. There are a bunch of new features, such as fans and such, so it's a good idea to play it.

The level creator coming out so soon makes me glad that they decided to release it then and there.
'Cause Hammer has decided "well, fuck you" and went kaput.

Though I highly doubt that the level creator has reality-breaking possibilities nestled within its wonderous depths.

A map I made
Put it in (steam install)\Steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\maps
In the game, open the console and type in "map ruined_flinging-v3" without the quotes

Known issues:

The indicator lights for one of the buttons don't turn on correctly. Rest assured the button still works, examine the cube to see if it's being pressed. (cube will be orange)
Glass wall turns invisible sometimes

This is a cleaned up version of one of the first maps I made so it's still pretty shitty, but it's the one closest to actually being done.

wait how did you get it already?
there's no notifications for me on steam, and the DLC page for portal 2 is empty.

or did you do it in another way?

Turbo has made Portal 2 maps before.

Steam>Library>Tools>Portal 2 Authoring Tools-Beta
It's Hammer, Valve's official level creator.
It's much, much more complicated to make anything with it, though.
