'Kay, week is up! I guess I should really finish this now!
By the way, updates may be
really spastic now, since a lot of it involves catching Pokemon; which means a lot of save scumming (I have no honour!)
Woop, yet another WiFi item! This one allows you to get Shaymin, which I have wanted FOR AGES!
And once again, the description of the item tells us nothing about it whatsoever!
Fun fact: Through complete coincidence, all my Mystery Gift items have been given to me equally spaced apart, by 2 months and two days! Secret key: June 8th, Member Card: August 10th, Oak's Letter: October 12th!
This is... what, the second time ever that I've actually been in my own bedroom?
Why do I still have that framed instruction hanging up?!
Deja vu.
Okay, that's not deja vu, that's EVERY SECOND DAY! That guy never leaves me alone!
OH FOR FUCK SAKE! I BEAT THE LEAGUE, BECOME THE CHAMPION, AND THE VERY FIRST POST-GAME THING IS IN THE SNOW AREA!
And to make things worse, I have to go through Bidoof Lane again to get there!
I've crossed this route too many times now for it to keep its nostalgic charm.
Plus, there's Bidoofs. Anything involving Bidoofs are never charming.
I will
never get tired of doing this!
Sandgem Town! Aside from not having a flying Pokemon on hand, I also need to go here to visit...
brr... Professor Rowan. I did fill up my Pokedex, remember.
IT'S PROFESSOR OAK! Man, I haven't seen you in ages!
Unlike Rowan, nobody can hate on Oak! It's like there's a national law against it or something!
I have no idea of what the distance nor direction between them is. You think I would, all things considered...
Page? What? It's bloody electronic, it doesn't have pages!
Err... 'scuse me, but doesn't that sorta miss the point? I mean, I've already seen every type of Pokemon in the country, and I don't think I'll be able to leave anytime soon...
Err... wootinary? Maybe?
Okay, that's definitely Wootinary worthy!
Did I explain Pal Park yet? Basically, it's the thing that lets you trade from Gen3 to Gen4. By having 6 Pokemon at once released into an encased area and then having to catch them. I'll be doing it anyway, I have a... certain team to demonstrate it with.
Route 221? what? I never came across a Route221! Whatcha talking about, gramps?
Smell ya later!
I will not make a pedophile joke, I will not make a pedophile joke, I will not make a pedophile joke...
PENI-oh, what?
Poke Radar: lets you come across wild Pokemon. IN A ROW! Exciting, I know!
Also lets you catch some rare Pokemon not found without it. And increases the odds of a shiny Pokemon appearing.
Aaand I think that's actually the last time we ever see Rowan. At least, I sure hope so...
This is Dawn's sister, so you know. She tells you where Pokemon Swarms are (oh yeah, Pokemon Swarms are where wild Pokemon not normally found in the region suddenly appear in bulk in one area).
Route 225?! Goddamnit, why have I not heard of any of these routes before?!
I did say I didn't have a bird Pokemon handy, remember?
I am still so glad I don't have to go through those snow routes again!
I STILL HATE IT!
At least this is the VERY LAST time that I ever have to go he-
FUCK! NO IT'S NOT! OH GOD DAMNIT!
Battle Zone: It's a zone where you battle.
AAH! Goddam, I'm still not used to her always sneaking up on me!
That... that's it? You came here just to tell me that? Geez, don't you know this is the flipping snow area?!
THIS BOAT HAS GIANT DRILLS IN ITS FRONT! THIS BOAT IS
AWESOME!
Oh man, not
this again! Ugh!
The funny thing is that now it actually seems like an amount I could practically earn!
Aww man, can't I just pay the flipping mafia fee and get you out of my hair already?!
Right. Did you try
pulling the door this time?
It's Flint and that electric guy!
Okay, Flint is definitely gay.
Well, if my experience about the world is right, then you just haven't beaten the nearby gym leader yet!
Err... wait.
Yeah, no way in hell I'm sticking around to listen to him whining to me about it!
I still love this city, for some reason!
Anyway, this is the place where I start my
Legendary Legendary Hunt! Gotta Catch Em All, as the fourth-wall-breaking-motto says!
Err... sure, that sounds like a place I should totally go to for some unexplained reason!
Just as long as it's not Iron Island. God, I hated that place! ...I should really go back and get that egg at some point though.
Even after the game is beaten, there are always sidequests!
This boat is not so awesome. *sniff*
Right. So here we have a clearly uninhabited island that doesn't even have smoothed down slopes... yet there's not only two sets of stairs here but someone even made
docking pillars?!
And heeere's the first Legendary Pokemon! Or... wait, that should be the 7th.
Oh yays, I can add this to my baseball card collection!
Yeah, same deal as with Mespirit.
I won't actually start hunting them down yet though. I've still got three more Roaming Pokemon to encounter first!
Actually, I might even skip out on catching the Roaming Pokemon, except Cresselia (I really want to catch her!). Because they're real
basts to catch if you don't have the right Pokemon (mainly, Pokemon like Ariados makes catching them far easier, thanks to Spider Web and Baton Pass making it impossible for them to escape!)
Seriously? The thing was right here? In the
middle of the only clearing on the island? Yet the sailor dude couldn't find it himself?
DEFINITION OF LAME!
Oh right, I didn't explain why I needed the Wing. Basically, Darkrai gave his son eternal nightmares and the only way to wake him is with a part of Cresselia.
Which sorta brings to question how screwed up the world becomes if you catch Cresselia but not Darkrai!
I've been explaining a lot of things this episode...
Yeah, Fullmoon Island is completely featureless beyond having Cresselia there. It's like whatever god created this world just made it for that sole purpose...
It worked! What a complete surprise! Who knew that the sidequest item would indeed be the key to the problem despite being highly rare and not scientifically sound!
You could... y'know, give me a reward? Even a TM? No?
Well what the hell was the point on that sidequest? Goddamnit game, there's always meant to be some sort of a reward for sidequests!
And now I have two tiny teddy-bear like icons on my Poketch thingy!
Who the hell thought it was a good idea to give legendary Pokemon, the most powerful of powerfuls,
teddy bear icons?!
...I'm not gonna question it this time. Just gimme my item already!
I
do have to question why he had it delivered to me despite that I met him in this very episode!
And you think he'd just tell me to go there when we met too, wouldn't you? Ah hmph, the old man must be getting senile!
