And to add to all of that... Apparently Nintendo was meant to release a Full-List of the Ambassador's games in the middle of THIS month. Instead, they told us about how the games can be transferred and saved. Good old Nintendo

Nintendo said they'd reveal more information about the Ambassador Program. That caused news sites to speculate because they couldn't imagine Nintendo revealing anything BUT the other 10 games.
Too bad the other big questions that people were wondering was whether trading in your 3DS for a new color/upgrade/etc. would mean you'd lose the ambassador games and Nintendo decided to answer that, and the exact differences between the original versions of these games and the 3DS ports, and what to expect from the games coming out Sept. 1st compared to the finished games released in the eShop.
I'm calling bullshit on the "Lite" rumor. While it's not impossible for Nintendo to release a "Lite" at this time, I don't see a reason to (inb4 people bitch about the battery, which is an issue that
totally needs a complete overhaul of the system to fix), and I think people are just too obsessed with the idea that Nintendo HAS to keep releasing upgraded versions of their consoles (and I bet the instant a 3DS Lite IS announced, people will already start bitching about the "3DSi").
And while we're on that matter, why the fuck does it even matter if Nintendo releases upgraded versions of the handhelds? Would anyone really want to be stuck with a Phat for 5 years as opposed to being able to get a Lite (or any upgrade that could fix problems that could be annoying or deal breakers), especially with the hinge issue, the toothpick stylus, and the sheer bulkiness of the daisies thing. I still remember when people bitched that Nintendo was FORCING them to buy an SP (because when the SP came out, it totally meant that the standard GBA was unusable), and that repeated with the Lite, the DSi, and the DSi XL. Just because Nintendo makes an upgraded version, doesn't mean you have to buy it. You're pop flyin' with your Phat? Don't buy a Lite. You don't want app-like games and you have a camera? Don't buy a DSi. Have a DSi? Don't buy a DSi XL.
Christ, I'm a huge Nintendo nerd and I don't even jump at half of these remakes. I never bought an SP, I got a Lite because my Phat was crapping out 2 years after the Lite came out, I got a DSi (and regreted it later) because I thought I'd like the downloaded games (would have been worth it if the virtual console was there), and I've never had the idea that I absolutely needed a DSi XL.
So you have a 3DS. The "3DS Lite" comes out. It does everything the 3DS does... but it's thinner... and has a longer battery. Would it really be worth it to the majority of 3DS owners to go out and upgrade? Is there anything Nintendo would have included in that deal that FORCED you to spend cheddar buying a newer version of something you already have? Why is it that people don't see these products and think that they're not for the people who already bought the system (for the most part), but are for the people who aren't convinced yet that the system is worth a purchase?
I swear, the stupidity of people when discussing handheld upgrades (not you guys, mostly on big gaming forums) are just as bad as the people who complain that they need to get the latest apple product and it's going to cost them a lot. if you have something that works for you, why would you need to get the latest and greatest version? And how is it the company's fault for releasing a variety of products for consumers?
It just baffles me...
