How to get 100k gold:

1. Play the game
2. Drown in gold

It's pretty easy to afford things for the most part, yeah, but it took a few dungeon crawls and some leveling before I could afford the house in Solitude.

I can't remember the last time I actually bought something in Skyrim...none of the shops have any decent armour or weapons that I want so I just either find it or make it myself. I only buy potions occasionally, and cook my own food. Pretty much the only thing I spent cheddar on was my house and now that I'm done with that I'm back to being a greedy hoarder I guess. I used to buy horses but since getting Shadowmere for some reason all the stables always have a horse that says it's mine, and I can ride it freely, but it wanders away like it was stolen. So still a bit annoying, but in a pinch useful if say I shot someone and got caught and need to get the hell out of dodge quickly for a while.

If you do a favor for the stablemaster they will let you borrow a horse, but the borrowed horse will return to the stable if you dismount it. It has to actually say "(your name)'s horse" for it to not run off.

I've never done any favours for the stablemasters I don't think - but yeah, all the horses say that they're my horse except the ones that aren't saddled that you can't buy anyway. All the saddled horses are "mine" but wander off when you mount them. It's apparently a random glitch from what I can tell online. Not a particularly annoying one as I have Shadowmere and he hangs out where I leave him.

My favorite thing about The Elder Scrolls games is the lore. The Dwemer disappearance is the most perplexing and unanswered thing about the games and I kind of love it. Though I'm in mental debate on if they were really that great or just huge assholes. AND THEY JUMPED THROUGH DIMENSIONS, THAT'S SO SWEET.

I think in Morrowind when you play as the nerevarine is my favorite "chosen one" prophesy because the nerevarine felt like they played the most important roll. Doing the trials and bringing the tribes together felt like you were actually helping people, whereas in Skyrim you sort of just try to ask the nords to stop fucking punching each other in the dick.

One of my favorite things about Skyrim: random encounters involving dialogue as a werewolf

One time I was a werewolf running down the road and a thief stopped me and demanded my valuables. I passed the persuade check to get the thief to leave me alone.

And just today I bumped into a bandit setting up a toll on the road and failed my intimidation check with her.

I must be a really non-scary werewolf.

One thing I found hilarious when I played and that thief encounter happened is I convinced them to leave me alone, then the minute they turned their backs I sneak-attacked them into Oblivion. Picked up a full set of glass off their corpse.

Thiefs with full sets of glass never made much sense to me either. Just sell the armour, it's more than you'll ever make with petty theft.

They do it for the thrill of it, obviously.

There's nothing petty about my theft.

Excepting cases where I bodaciously steal the pants off people.

So uh

my sky in skyrim has recently had some unsightly seams in it where I was assuming two climates were clashing. It was ignorable for a while.

But today I had to uninstall/reinstall a mod, and in the process I had to run skyrim without the script extender, which meant a lot of other proletariats had to be disabled for that brief amount of time

and when I started my game up again like usual, my sky looked like this.

I'm not sure how to fix it.

Edit: disabling Climates of Tamriel and then re-enabling it after loading my game seems to have fixed the problem. My sky is back to normal (for now). Climates seems to give me a lot of trouble--it's a shame. I really like that mod.

Uh okay so

I'm really rustled off at the moment

I'm doing a companions quest, the one after Kodlak's death and Eorlund Gray-Mane asked me to retrieve something for him. I got the item but now I can't interact with Eorlund. At all. There's no talk option, I can't even see his name when I move the cursor over him.

And apparently NO ONE ELSE has ever had this problem, because multiple google searches have not given me any answers.

I don't know what the hell to do.

Edit: upon trawling through my previous save files I discovered that Eorlund's been glitched for quite a while and nothing I do can get him to interact with me again. I'm just going to have to use console commands to skip through stages of the quest.

Too bad I figured this out after deleting almost a day's worth of gameplay.
