Don't forget to get Naryu's Love outside the temple.
Look for a splosive wall.
It's like, right behind the fairy well you use Song of Storms on to summon fairies from, isn't it?
It's been a while since I've played OoT.

Other side, I think. It's pretty obvious if you look for it.

Who doesn't know about that though?

The Kokiri Tunic, and the Mirror Shield, anything there is only one of, cannot be eaten by Like-Likes. Goron and Zora Tunics, Deku Shields and Hylian Shields are eaten, but can be returned by defeating it.

Yeah, but I think if you don't kill the Like Like quick enough then your stuff disappears anyway.

I just recently bought my first ever Zelda game, Twilight Princess.

I'm totally gonna name myself 'Lonk'.

What.

How could you.

You missed out on so much.
Get whatever other Zelda games you can, too.

Yes I know. I originally wanted to buy TP as my entry into Wii gameplay, but in my eternal shame chose Rayman Raving Rabbids instead. Now I want to make up for that by playing TP after all. I have been thinking about getting Ocarina Of Time on the Virtual Console, but since I've been reading this LP, I'm afraid the game's kinda spoiled for me already, so perhaps I'll get Majora's Mask instead.

TP was my entry into Wii gameplay, and it was daisies fun.

I bought OoT on the Virtual Console, too. It was fun, even if you already know how everything goes.

MM, on the other hand, is complete and utter rape no matter how you look at it.

Time limit.

You do realize you can rewind time in MM, right? The time limit is not a limit, merely the restraints on how far you can manipulate time. I have never played MM and even I know that.

Yes, I do know that.
And I still hate it.

I dislike timers of any kind in video games. Even resettable ones.

I have to agree with you here. The only timer in a game I ever liked is early in Metroid Prime, because it's very lax (I usually escape with lots of time left) but still adds to the rush of IT'S GONNA BLOW

Still, MM seems to be regarded very heterogeneously by the people who played it, so I might just give it a try after all. Heck, 1000 Wii points isn't that much.

To start with, I am forced to equip the Master Sword in order to make proper use of the Mirror Shield.

It seems this game hates democracy. We voted on that setup and everything.

Image

Anyway, let's test this out.

Image

It does exactly what it sounds like it does.

It reflects shit.

Image

A non-glitched key is obtained.

Image

Now I can go through this door with a clear conscience.

Image

This room contains those ugly laser beam things.

Image

I annihilate them just because they're ugly.

Really, I didn't have to do that. But I did anyway.

Image

This wall shifts back and forth.

It's a lot harder to climb than I expected.

Image

Oh look more ugly laser beasts

I don't even care enough to kill these now.

Image

That Triforce symbol means I must play Zelda's Lullaby, but screw that I'm going left.

Image

And is it turns out, there is nothing important here.

BACK TO THE TRIFORCE

Image

AWW YEAH

Image

Lots of Ugly Sluggy things

Haven't seen these since way back in the fire temple.

Image

I'm not one for nostalgia so I kill the hell out of all of them.

Image

Evil doors

Those are a fire-temple foe as well

Image

I blow them up

Image

There's a switch behind one of them

I was totally looking for that

Yeah

Image

The switch activates a platform that lets me push a button that let's me get rid of that ring of fire around the chest.

Image

At this point I've stopped expecting these fancy chests to have Gunswords or Badger Launchers in them

Just stupid keys

Image

Further exploration of the Spirit Temple

Image

A lizardman arrives.

Image

He is dispatched, but he manages to get a hit on me and get my health dangerously low.

I must retreat for now.

Image

With health restored, my quest continues.

These are called White Bubbles

Image

I call them Target Practice.

Image

SUSPICIOUS WALL

WHAT TIME IS IT?

Image

EXPLOSION TIME!

Image

Another lizardman

And a mirror

Image

Lizardman dies. Now what to do with this mirror.

Image

I arrange the mirrors so that the light reflects around the room.

Image

The light eventually bounces it's way into this room here.

Image

And then I reflect it off my mirror shield.

That's a grand total of four reflections, gentlemen.

Image

I begin to descend.

Image

Hey look at that, it's Snaketits again.

Image

We have such a lovely view from here.

Image

I shine this beam of light on Snaketit's face, because I can't think of anything else to do.

Image

Oops

I broke Snaketits

Image

I longshot over to this area behind Snaketit's head (or what used to be it)

Image

DUN DUN DUUUUUN

The boss room is nigh

Image

Ready for action, as always.

Image

It's another Iron Knuckle.

It's supported by the two witches this time.

Image

MY GOD

THAT NOSE

Image

I used to think Ganondorf had a big nose

I was wrong

Image

You have reached an entirely new level of Nosedom, ladies.

I don't even have jokes prepared for how large your noses are.

Image

I CANNOT HEAR YOUR INSULTS OVER THE SOUND OF THOSE NOSES

Image

They're going to sick the Iron Knuckle at me.

Good, this will give me some time to come up with good nose jokes for them.

Image

After a brief bit of confusion over it's axe, the Iron Knuckle moves out.

Image

I've never been fond of showing the same fight twice, much less thrice, so let's skip to the ending.

Image

BANZAI

Image

I break of all the Iron Knuckle's armor.

Image

It turns out it is actually Nabooru.

Image

The witches show up again.

I haven't come up with a good nose joke yet, curses.

Image

Oh, turns out she was being brainwashed.

That explains a lot.

Image

Nabooru vanishes along with the Nosewitches

Image

I walk along into this big old room right here

Image

STUPID

KID!?

Guess who's getting a sword to the face

Image

BOTH OF THEM

Image

I shall call them Twinnosa

Image

The strategy here is "Reflect one sisters attacks towards the other"

God only knows what might have happened if they both learned the same elemental attack.

Image

I find this battle amusing

Image

Getting hit by the attacks is not fun

Image

Especially the fire one. That can wipe out a lot of my health.

Image

Reflecting the attacks is kind of tough, I'll admit, but it's rather rewarding when they hit.

Image

I accidentally fall off the edge of the platform

Kind of nice, actually. That beam would have hit me and killed me.

Image

I reflect one more beam attack

Image

Get serious?

Image

They're going to do "that"?

Image

Suddenly, GATTAI

Image

Their blasts are a bit more powerful in this form.

They must have turned their noses into pure power.

Image

Blocking the attacks seems to absorb it instead of reflecting it. I can see where this is going

Image

I can also tell that I should not try absorbing Fire and ice attacks at the same time.

Image

I absorb three Ice bolts and suddenly ICE EVERYWHERE

Image

It knocks out Twinnosa, so I can chop her up.

Image

This feels oddly like chopping wood.

Image

I absorb another three bolts of ice and unleash the blast again

Image

This still feels wooden.

Image

You know what, I'm sick of using ice bolts.

Ice is for pussies.

Image

I'm using FIRE

Image

Would you stop flinging ice I need to absorb a fire blast

Image

Just stop it

I am trying to kill you here why are you resisting.

Image

HERE WE GO

Image

NOW IS CHOPPING TIME

Image

And now she is dead

Image

She splits back into the Nosewitches.

Image

The gravitational well of their noses forms rings above their heads.

Image

They bitch at each other to death

Image

I never got to tell them my great nose jokes.

Awwwwww

Image

HEART CONTAINER

I'M OUT OF JOKES FOR THIS AT THIS POINT

Image

Off to Sage Land!

Image

And to no one's surprise the sage is Nabooru

Image

Yes, I understand.

Speech, moral of the story, blah blah blah

Image

I like the sound of that.

Image

FINAL MEDALLION GET

Image

Yes?

Image

Oh god extreme close up of Rauru

Image

Meet someone at the temple. Got it.

Image

Six sages, Six temples, Six medallions.

Nothing but me and Ganondorf now.

It's go time.

Try using the Hookshot on the top piece of wall to just skip climbing.
