I just recently bought my first ever Zelda game, Twilight Princess.

Yes I know. I originally wanted to buy TP as my entry into Wii gameplay, but in my eternal shame chose Rayman Raving Rabbids instead. Now I want to make up for that by playing TP after all. I have been thinking about getting Ocarina Of Time on the Virtual Console, but since I've been reading this LP, I'm afraid the game's kinda spoiled for me already, so perhaps I'll get Majora's Mask instead.

TP was my entry into Wii gameplay, and it was daisies fun.

I bought OoT on the Virtual Console, too. It was fun, even if you already know how everything goes.

MM, on the other hand, is complete and utter rape no matter how you look at it.

Time limit.

You do realize you can rewind time in MM, right? The time limit is not a limit, merely the restraints on how far you can manipulate time. I have never played MM and even I know that.

Yes, I do know that.
And I still hate it.

I dislike timers of any kind in video games. Even resettable ones.

I have to agree with you here. The only timer in a game I ever liked is early in Metroid Prime, because it's very lax (I usually escape with lots of time left) but still adds to the rush of IT'S GONNA BLOW

Still, MM seems to be regarded very heterogeneously by the people who played it, so I might just give it a try after all. Heck, 1000 Wii points isn't that much.

To start with, I am forced to equip the Master Sword in order to make proper use of the Mirror Shield.

It seems this game hates democracy. We voted on that setup and everything.



Anyway, let's test this out.



It does exactly what it sounds like it does.

It reflects shit.



A non-glitched key is obtained.



Now I can go through this door with a clear conscience.



This room contains those ugly laser beam things.



I annihilate them just because they're ugly.

Really, I didn't have to do that. But I did anyway.



This wall shifts back and forth.

It's a lot harder to climb than I expected.

I don't even care enough to kill these now.



That Triforce symbol means I must play Zelda's Lullaby, but screw that I'm going left.



And is it turns out, there is nothing important here.

I'm not one for nostalgia so I kill the hell out of all of them.

The switch activates a platform that lets me push a button that let's me get rid of that ring of fire around the chest.



At this point I've stopped expecting these fancy chests to have Gunswords or Badger Launchers in them

Further exploration of the Spirit Temple



A lizardman arrives.



He is dispatched, but he manages to get a hit on me and get my health dangerously low.

I must retreat for now.



With health restored, my quest continues.

These are called White Bubbles



I call them Target Practice.

Lizardman dies. Now what to do with this mirror.



I arrange the mirrors so that the light reflects around the room.



The light eventually bounces it's way into this room here.



And then I reflect it off my mirror shield.

That's a grand total of four reflections, gentlemen.



I begin to descend.



Hey look at that, it's Snaketits again.



We have such a lovely view from here.



I shine this beam of light on Snaketit's face, because I can't think of anything else to do.

I broke Snaketits



I longshot over to this area behind Snaketit's head (or what used to be it)

The boss room is nigh

It's another Iron Knuckle.

It's supported by the two witches this time.

I used to think Ganondorf had a big nose

They're going to sick the Iron Knuckle at me.

Good, this will give me some time to come up with good nose jokes for them.



After a brief bit of confusion over it's axe, the Iron Knuckle moves out.



I've never been fond of showing the same fight twice, much less thrice, so let's skip to the ending.



BANZAI



I break of all the Iron Knuckle's armor.



It turns out it is actually Nabooru.



The witches show up again.

I haven't come up with a good nose joke yet, curses.



Oh, turns out she was being brainwashed.

That explains a lot.



Nabooru vanishes along with the Nosewitches



I walk along into this big old room right here



STUPID

Guess who's getting a sword to the face



BOTH OF THEM



I shall call them Twinnosa



The strategy here is "Reflect one sisters attacks towards the other"

God only knows what might have happened if they both learned the same elemental attack.



I find this battle amusing



Getting hit by the attacks is not fun



Especially the fire one. That can wipe out a lot of my health.



Reflecting the attacks is kind of tough, I'll admit, but it's rather rewarding when they hit.



I accidentally fall off the edge of the platform

Kind of nice, actually. That beam would have hit me and killed me.



I reflect one more beam attack



Get serious?



They're going to do "that"?



Suddenly, GATTAI



Their blasts are a bit more powerful in this form.

They must have turned their noses into pure power.



Blocking the attacks seems to absorb it instead of reflecting it. I can see where this is going



I can also tell that I should not try absorbing Fire and ice attacks at the same time.



I absorb three Ice bolts and suddenly ICE EVERYWHERE



It knocks out Twinnosa, so I can chop her up.



This feels oddly like chopping wood.



I absorb another three bolts of ice and unleash the blast again



This still feels wooden.



You know what, I'm sick of using ice bolts.

Ice is for pussies.



I'm using FIRE



Would you stop flinging ice I need to absorb a fire blast



Just stop it

I am trying to kill you here why are you resisting.



HERE WE GO



NOW IS CHOPPING TIME



And now she is dead



She splits back into the Nosewitches.



The gravitational well of their noses forms rings above their heads.



They bitch at each other to death



I never got to tell them my great nose jokes.
