It's two gaming giants together, and sports games are easy to learn and difficult to master. The Dream Events also like to throw bodaciously every Olympic standard out the window, and they're pretty fun.
Seriously, skiing and snowboarding with Mario Kart gameplay (with some Sonic-related items) is hella great

Also, figure skating
No, seriously, people like the figure skating gameplay.

The story mode they made in the DS Winter Olympics game was fun, but apparently the London games' story mode was bad and no one talks about the Sochi games' story.

It's not terribly popular, but it's popular enough to be a tradition at this point.

I almost had to change my pants when they announced a crossover between Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi

I just hope this doesn't mean they've run out of ideas

Yeah, Mario Maker and M&L: Paper Jam are my favourites from Nintendo's E3 offerings so far. And apparently the courses from the Nintendo World Championships will be in the final game, which is great.

So Super Mario Maker's "daily unlock system" got removed

They really gave up on that one pretty quickly, huh

Bleh, I really don't like Nintendo trying to take away a good reason to keep returning to the game, the game is heavily inspired off of Mario Paint so I was fine with some content being locked until the next day.

Yeah, honestly, letting people get creative with the tools they are presented with instead of "HURR BOWSERS EVERYWHERE GOTTA MAKE IT KAIZO [sic] AS FUCK" was a great move, but they caved because all the people who were perfectly okay with Splatoon's disc-locked updates started whining about having to wait for things on the disc

People haven't liked the procedural daily release stuff in Nintendo games since Pokemon Channel. I think the new way is a perfect compromise. The palettes are clearly designed to get you used to the easy to use elements before throwing more complex ones at you that give you a lot more freedom and a lot more to learn all at once. If you're going to play the game for 4 hours when it comes out, you're probably going to want a bit more stuff to work with than just the first day's gear or downloading other people's maps to try out the new elements.

Well, yeah, you're going to want to throw together a mess of Clown Cars, Boos, and Bill Blasters that fire Hammer Bros., but if you learn to work with a limited toolset from the beginning, you can get even more creative with what you have, and use that as a springboard to get more creative with whatever else you're given later.

It's not about getting used to easy to use elements, it's mastering everything piece by piece.

The Mario and Luigi has more importance to me me han paper Mario but tthat'sprobably because I never bothered to get TTYD. Bowser inside story was a really fun adventure and the combo moves were really well thought out.

Also, the final boss theme.

Hey folks, if you want to play in CRT Mario mode on the Super Mario Bros. themed courses but don't want to have to use an Amiibo, you can hold Down, B and A as the course is starting to change it.

It works for all gamemodes, too, not just SMB1

Really? That's new, I thought CRT mode was only for the SMB theme.
