Don't know what TM70 is.

All weapons can be held with one hand if you have the required stats to hold it as such.

You don't have mana, instead you have a set amount of times you can cast a spell before recharging the uses at a bonfire.

Also to use the spell you have to have an item that allows you to cast that branch of magic.
And the different types of magic scale from different things.

To cast Sorcery you need a Catalyst.
Sorcery scales off of intelligence.

To cast Miracles you need a Talisman.
Miracles scale off of Faith.

Pyromancy requires a Pyromancer glove.
Now here's the thing about pyromancy, it doesn't scale off of any type of stat like Int or Faith, but instead on how much you upgrade the actual glove.

I've got a Pyromancer character, but I haven't touched him since he actually seemed rather confusing to start off with, since I went in knowing nothing about the game.
How difficult is it to play a Pyromancer?

Is there any way to increase the amount of uses in a spell?

Pyromancer is the best class in the game to start with.
Your starting weapon isn't bad at all, and you get fireballs to take down some of the earlier bosses and mini bosses.

Plus you can build dex, vit and attunement without gimping your pyromancy spells.
And no as far as I know there isn't a way to increase the number of spells that you can have on any one spell.

I got a bow as a random drop in the asylum my first time around so I don't really want to scrap him.

Buy arrows, go under the bridge where the drake is.
Shoot at his tail from under there until you get the Drake Sword.

It's very very very useful for early parts of the game and new players.
Has VERY high base damage, but no scaling so other weapons start to outmatch it with an investment.
The 50-70 arrows you should buy to get it are very well worth it.

I bought about 40 arrows, killed the merchant, and still didn't get the sword, Um, I'm not sure I can revist the area, and I'm not sure it's ever worth the trouble, since I'm at the blacksmith now.
I know I can get a dragon great sword from the great stone dragon though.
