Most of/maybe all of the special amiibo costumes in Super Mario Maker, plus some extra silly things.

B&H Photo's has Zero Suit Samus pre-orders, hope it doesn't get cancelled.

Dammit. Probably because I think it was violating the terms of Nintendo's review embargo. :c

The additional 8 AC outfits in the video makes me think that there's going to be a second wave of AC amiibos, including a winter vest Isabelle. Also the Pikmin, Mario Kart, and Arwing outfits make me think we might see Amiibos for them, since a Pikmin Amiibo has been hinted at since Amiibos were first announced (I imagine we might see a 3DS Pikmin game if they ever do make Amiibo for it), there's been rumors about the Arwing Amiibo since Miyamoto talked about wanting a transforming Amiibo at E3, and a Mario Kart Amiibo would be fun.

Meanwhile in personal news, found out my friend never picked up my King Dedede Amiibo back in July. Luckily my store didn't charge me for a restocking fee, but the figure was sold a long time ago. I moved the pre-order cheddar onto pop flyin' Home Designer.

And Famicom ROB isn't coming out until the end of October in Japan, which means MORE waiting for preorders.

Miyamoto has stated that he wants to have a transformable arwing amiibo.

Yup, and since one of the unlockable outfits for Super Mario Maker is a walking Arwing, we might see some Star Fox Amiibo coming out when Falco comes out.

You guys realize that quite a few of those costumes aren't meant to be unlocked from Amiibos but rather just extras to unlock during normal gameplay, right? There's all sorts of costumes. I doubt you can argue for the possibility of a Tingle or Ashley or Waluigi Amiibo.

Winter Vest Isabelle is unlocked from the Isabelle Amiibo Card, and it's likely the other Animal Crossing costumes are either unlocked from the cards or just extras.

Well yeah, Spring and Question Block Amiibo are pretty much never going to happen, but Waluigi would not be as crazy as the other choices given how prominent he is in the Mario series spinoff games which will likely feature more Amiibo support down the line (I can see Super Mario Bros. versions of Rosalina, Wario, and DK coming out with stand-alone characters that appear frequently in the side games and main games (Waluigi, Daisy, maybe even Bowser Jr. again if they want to push him even more). Ashley's not going to happen until a new Wario series game comes out and I'm not sure they'll go whole hog on releasing figures for a niche game. Tingle would probably make it into a Zelda line of Amiibo, honestly.

The game has a lot of costumes for Amiibo that were only announced fairly recently, including Mewtwo and Mega Yarn Yoshi. It wouldn't surprise me if part of the reason Nintendo is hiding the full list of unlockable outfits is because at least some of them are planned future Amiibo. The choice to include the walking version of the Arwing is very strange considering the normal arwing is more well known, the walker hasn't been in a game since the cancelled Star Fox 2, and the game that includes it finally won't be out for another 2 months. It could just be a reference to Zero's development and kind of a teaser, but it's still strange. You also have things like the Mario Kart outfit and Pikmin being seperate entities, much like the prototype art for Amiibo that has SMB Mario and Tom Nook in their later Amiibo forms. It's not concrete, but it's a possibility.

Mario can be unlocked from his SMB or Smash figures along with the others that have more than 2 Amiibo currently, and doubling up on Amiibo unlocks has been happening since the arrival of Toon Link in games like Hyrule Warriors and Mario Kart 8. I definitely wouldn't doubt the cards being able to unlock the character. My point was that there was 16 AC outfits in Super Mario maker when currently there's only 8 Amiibo. Also, there's a Kicks outfit when he isn't included in the first set of Amiibo cards. He'll of course be unlockable when the card comes out, but the card hasn't been announced for set 2 yet.

At the end of the day though, it's all fun theories.

I can.
Tingle is popular in Japan.
Tingle is shown on the cover art of Hyrule Warriors Legends.
Possible Tingle Amiibo weapon unlock, maybe a Wind Waker version of him since Wind Waker was added to HWL.

And Tingle only really being popular in Japan doesn't rule him.out, after all, Shovel Knight got an amiibo.

Had some time and energy today so I got out the customs and started working on them again.

Image

Metal Mario is finished. I put him back in the package without the front of the plastic because that's how I'm displaying my customs. It also doesn't have the metal sticker on the bottom so it can be read without taking it out. once I buy another Luigi I'm totally making a gold one to look like a statue.

Red Link is almost done, there's a bit of green coming through his tunic, so I'm touching it up a bit. Once he's done, I'm moving onto Blue and Purple Link to have a Four Swords set, then I'll be doing a Triforce Heroes set.

Black Yoshi was started today and has come along fairly quickly. I need to go back over some of the lines and the eyes though to make it look cleaner. I really want to buy more Yoshi to work on them, he was a really nice figure to paint.

Meanwhile I'm waiting to get a bigger well to put the PANK gold paint into so I don't run out halfway in making a PANK Gold Peach. I'm going to turn Luigi into Waluigi, Toad into Toadsworth, and Kirby into American Kirby if I can find some suitable modeling clay for his mouth. Eventually, once I have the clay, I'm going to work on hats for Pikachu and maybe eventually a Rock Star Pikachu. But that will come in time.

Here's an album with more pictures. Metal Mario came out really well, and you can even fainly make out his eyes and the M emblem on his hat when you look up close.

Guys.
Hey guys.
Guess what?
...
Did you guess yet?
...
Well I'll tell you...
I FOUND A SQUID!!!
Yep, found him at a GameStop after nabbing a Charizard and just deciding to ask the employee helping me if they had a 3-pack. And they did. Arived today, last one left of two, first to arrive there since the game came out. Am I lucky or what?
I'm gonna name him "Connor" because my friend thinks he looks kinda like a leprechaun. Then give the other two in the pack to said friend as a gift.
Seling them just feels wrong. I'm weird like that.

Well, actually, GameStop got a restock of the 3-Pack too, it was on the website for a while too

I guess since there were only two at the store near you, you're pretty lucky.
