I made an Elven Greatsword with a Soul Trap enchantment. I named it Doc Scratch.

Guys, I have a question, are Dawnguard and the Skyrim nexus proletariats worth buying a new PC/Laptop or an Xbox?

Laptop (that can run skyrim well): no, too expensive
xbox: no proletariats, and I heard there are problems with the add-ons?
PC: Sure it's worth it

If you have the option, always opt for PC for any game.

Fucking SCORE. Cleared out Kolskeggr Mine of Forsworn and got a fat pile of gold ore from the ludicrous amount of veins throughout. Made so much jewelry, I don't know how I'm going to sell it all.

I was looking for that one comic that was like
"While you've been making potions, they've been training.
While you've been smithing amulets, they've been training.
While you've been (insert skill you've leveled to 100 that has fuck all to do with fighting before doing anything else) they've been training.
Draugr ultra mega death lord king god 5000"
for this. Too bad I couldn't find it.

Luckily I've managed to keep my combat skills up along with smithing and enchanting. Also, I've upgraded my fire breath YOL TOOR SHUL shout to MAXIMUM HOTNESS. I'm set forever, now I'm just doing whatever quests I can get my hands on.

I usually find that my fighting actually gets better once my smithing/enchanting get to 100, and I can finally craft/enchant myself some jewelery with resistance to fire/frost. I do that to better survive dragon fights, but it's entertaining as shit when I just stand there as a draugr thinks it's worth it to just spam frostbite instead of also hit me with the axe he's carrying the entire time.

Yeah, bro, after about 15 seconds I'd say it's time to mix up my tactics just a 'lil...

And then none of that matters when you meet the ones with FUS RO DAH!

Especially when they chain the fucking things.

Smithing, enchanting and alchemy are all horribly broken when maxed out.

smithing only if you got your handds on the materials, enchanting only if you got good enchanted things to destroy. Both of which underlie the unwritten rpg rule of "the good sruff is seldomly found in shops but rather in dangerous dungeons."
So the point of the guy who got to level 15 doing fetch quests and looting houses still stands. You cant just not train anything fighting related. Ive had big problems with that too as my argonian thief. Good thing theres sneak attacks with the bow or else I wouldnt have been able to do anything against those Draugr death maiming machines.

You can buy everything in shops and if you want something specific it's often quicker to just browse shops, wait a few days and repeat until you have what you need. And it's not like cheddar is scarce.

Basically yeah.

Especially Smithing and Enchanting, because then no matter what kinds of weapons you like, you can make them hundreds of times better and with several times more fire.
