Back when all I had was a wii, I would defend the wii's graphics with "ha, we have better gameplay"

No. I think you should stop right now.


The DS has two screens, by the way, 256x192 pixels each. It's not bad. I don't understand why you're whining about it, honestly. Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't have exceedingly high expectations with handhelds.
I don't see why Ninty wouldn't increase the resolution.

That was the point. I hadn't played the XBOX yet, I thought it was a bunch of FPS's, and didn't think it would be fun.


That all changed when I actually got one.

power level doesn't necessarily have that much to do with graphics


*as in, even if it has lots of power, there could be other factors that could be a potential bottleneck to how good the graphics may be, like the ram or something


and i don't know about you, but imo 256x192 is pretty shitty

If it has Gamecube level power then it has the power of a Gamecube, Deiphobus. RAM is a factor, but if it has Gamecube level power it probably has Gamecube level RAM too

Imagine a Windwaker port to that thing.

I personally never cared. XBox360 and PS3 mostly annoyed me because it was more like XBox1.1 and PS2.1

Oh yay, shelling out $500 for a new videogame console, where all the games on it could have played on my XBox or PS2, if the graphics had only been reduced in the slightest tiniest amount.

This generation was the most hilariously small graphics leap from the last one. This is the first generation where the improvement in graphics did nothing to improve or open up new options in gameplay :/
