153 damage a SECOND. Granted this would mean the pyro is basically rubbing against his enemy but it's still a bit high. That combined with the oh-so frustrating afterburn makes the pyro's damage output ridiculous

I also hate that valve destroyed the pyro class into almost nothing but W+m1-ing fucktards.

It seemed like Valve's original intention was to make the pyro an ambush class. One that would let enemies come to them(that's why they should be in the 'Defensive" category). That's why they were given the Backburner and Flare gun. But Valve ruined it by letting the pyro have higher than average health,same(or better) run speed as 7/9 classes, and that daisies airblast ability. I just feel the pyro is far too easy of a class. Most of the maps are designed like small mazes, not open fields, so even ambush pyros have a ridiculously easy time.


Maybe it's just me, I play slower classes so pyros are always bugging me, but I just find the pyro overpowered.

I think a way to fix this would be to minimize the pyro's health. Nothing as low as a scout, but 150hp would be fine.

I think Pyros are fine. I never have a problem with them. Sure, they can be a pain in the booty, but once you know how to avoid them they are less than a problem.

Pyros are fairly easy to take out with every class.

They are pretty much helpless at anything that isn't close range.

When I play Pyro I typically tend to use my shotgun more than my flamethrower. I just flare them a little and then finish them off with it.

I also never use the Flare Gun. Can't stand one-shot weapons, I always miss.

That's not a terrible idea, I mean they're both close range weapons.



I have to use the flare gun to kill those pesky snipers.
