So I came back to play a few ARAMs yesterday after a several month break and apparently have Aether Wing Kayle. Anyone know what's going on with that?

Riot gave out a free skin to a bunch of people, it's probably that. You should have gotten a message about it when you logged in.

Yeah, they gave mystery skins to people which hadn't gotten banned or chat restricted last year.

I got a Gangster Twitch from mine and made a horrifying discovery.

They were just random mystery skins? I got gentleman Cho'Gath for mine, I thought it was supposed to be a joke that I was being a gentleman.

Just had an amazing play as Jinx...in a bot game.

20/9, most kills and 3rd least amount of deaths.

It's not much but I can only play bot games in fear of being bitched and whined at about how much I actually suck at LoL.

Meh, at least I can remember alot of the champions and itms unlike a certain other MOBA I can't stand.

Oh, okay. I'd never agreed with the people who argued that Riot basically needed to bribe us into not being jerks to other players but I guess the gift itself is kinda cool and the incentive might help improve things.

I think it's quite different when it's a surprise gift as opposed to "hey be good and you'll get presents!"

The only problem is, people will be expecting another gift next year. I kinda hope they don't give one out, or maybe something other than a skin. .....but then again, I do love mystery gifts...

Maybe, maybe not. A little searching on the boards yielded lots of the usual "Man I only got chat restricted once because the other team was being a bunch of little babies why didn't I get a skin I'm not nearly as bad as my three friends who were banned for half a year and they all got skins" kind of crap, similar to what we saw following the 2-week ban waves. Hopefully they don't represent the majority of people who missed out on it because of mistakes they made but it certainly doesn't help the image of any given incentive program Riot might try out.

The strange thing is I got a chat restriction in October (that I totally deserved, i was rustled about losing my job and taking it out on people who had nothing to do with it) and still got Crystal Blight Varus

And I doubt people whining about "undeserved" bans hurts the Player Behavior Team's image very much at all. Especially considering their famous past time of proving those whiners to actually be terrible people who think its okay to insult people constantly.

If it was a short one, I think you're still eligible for a skin.

Remembered that they set a minimum time for it. Might have been two weeks or longer bans that made people unqualified for skins, not sure how long it was.
