Ahh yes, Route 201! I remember this place like it was yesterday...
$10 says that, in the time that I was gone and gotten 8 badges, the people here haven't even moved an inch!
D'awwww, isn't it just sooo cute?! It thinks it can actually fight!
D'awwww! Even the random items in this place are tiny!
Right then, this better bloody be a good item out here!
...I'm setting myself up for a huge disappointment, amn't I?
A... keystone?
Aren't keystones, y'know...
...rocks. Yes, I went all the way out there just to pick up... a rock.
Who the hell designed this itemfinder?! It makes no sense!
And Psyducks! There are actuall Level 23 Psyducks out here! Right outside where I started!! Do you know how much time I could've saved by just throwing a Pokeball at these guys?!
Seriously, I am incredibly PEEVED right now!
OH FOR GOD FUCK SHIT FUCK I HATE THIS PLACE!!
Well at least there's
some entertainment to be had here.
Okay, plan is simple: go in, avoid plague of inevitable Psyducks, catch Legendary Pokemon, get the hell out! And maybe make a reference to Back To The Future while I'm at it.
Why is it that all three lakes just so happen to be
completely identical?! What, did the gods just get bored of having to create the earth at this point and just start copy-pasting?
SNEAK ATTACK!
Umm... huh?
Is... that meant to be a baseball card or something?
Wh... what?
We're in a cave, how can he possibly fly off to someplace else?!
Heck, Mespirit can't even learn fly!
AAH, what the hell, Rowan?! I am so very horribly confused about all this!
yeah, here's the data: THEY'RE HORRIBLY ANNOYING!
Wait, what? Why on earth would you think that finding the Pokemon of the Lakes would help you figure out why some Pokemon evolve? I mean,
they don't even evole into anything!
Oh yeah, fuck, it got away, didn't it? I didn't even know Pokemon were allowed to do that!
'That experience'? Of running around aimlessly hoping that a certain Pokemon will siddenly appear? I think you've gone senile, old man!
Or you've heard about shiny Pokemon.
Y'know, as much as it sucks that I didn't actually get a legendary Pokemon (again), at least now I'm finished with this place and can go-
GOD! DAMNIT!
OH COME ON! I don't even HAVE a fire Pokemon! Seriously now!
Ugh!
Okay, lets recap: I had to fly down here, then fly to somewhere further away so I could get a Pokemon with surf, then cycle down to the lake only to find a single stone, then head into some Bidoofs, then surf into the middle of the lake to catch that Not Pokemon, then have to talk to Rowan about... something, then have to go through a buncha Psyducks, then get a TM that is of absolutely no use whatsoever to me, and now I have to cycle all the way back to the PC again to get out a Pokemon that can fly! Ugh!
Incidentally, is it PC to stuff Pokemon in a PC?
Oh, I am so witty.
I should really stop taking out my bird in public so much.
Woo, Jubilife City! This is one of the very few places I actually
like in this country!
Mostly because of all the free goodies they give here.
Wait, those two kids are
still there?!
Wh... what the hell? How on earth is it taking so long? Are you trying to trade by a crappy dial-up connection or soething?!
Mmnah, I never get any luck with the lotto!
WOO, freebies! I do still need the Pokemon Markup searcher thingymajig, after all.
That... is not a Pokemon Markup searcher thingymajig.
MOVE TESTER: Allows you to check (not in battle) how various attack types match up against the opponent's Pokemon types.
A simple graph is far more useful though.
Oh... I guess I had the App all along! Heh, my bad!
Right, to explain: that teddy bear head represents where Mespirit is on the world map. Which, in this case, is directly to the right of me!
Oh... kay, now its directly to the left of where I was.
Now its gone to the south? Goddam, this is beginning to get annoying!
Now...
FUCK!
Oh I give up, I'm sure I'll meet it sooner or later! Besides, I have its baseball card, that's good enough for me!
$0 goes to the first one who can guess where I'm going to from Oreburgh City!
