It's really not that difficult at all. :science:

I've explained all this before btw. :science:

I know about the changes they did to make EV training easier.

But to some extent... that just makes it even worse!

The game makers are actively acknowledging that players have figured this out, and adding items to the game to let you specifically manipulate those invisible numbers that we were originally designed not to be able to see to our advantage.

I disagree. The entire reason that the modern EV system (gen3 and 4) was made so complex (with each Pokemon only adding EVs of one type) was because they KNEW people would want to figure it out and EV-train! Ever since Gen1 GameFreak have known about, and greatly encouraged, trying to figure out the minor workings of the game system to the user's advantage; because it adds an entirely new dimension of gameplay that keeps the game active in the thinkers demographic, and not just the casual one!

Just what the hell are those vitamin things, the only ones i use are the PP UPs to give over powered moves more ammo. Plasma said something about them in his LP but I don't feel like remembering.

It's been a while since I played a Pokemon game, but I seem to recall they give you 10EV, up to a maximum of 100 EV per vitamin.

But you don't want to use them indiscriminately, because you only have a maximum of 510EVs to spend between all of your stats.

Typically, a person will get 10 of two different vitamins, stats they want to increase the EV of, and use them all on a brand new Pokemon before beginning EV training to make it quicker.

Boosts a stat permanently, to put it simply.

They're good things. Use them.

I hate to argue on unstable grounds but, is it not exactly permanent? The EV lowering berries are capable of decreasing the stat just boosted by the vitamin; Karilyn was right about them giving 10 EVs apiece.

I do agree about them being good things.

No, EV berries just give a permanent decrease on top of the previous permanent increase.

TECHNICALITIES YEAH!

And the X"insert stat here" items. I know what they do, but when is this ever useful. Not like it matters, but I douse the Dire Hit, only one I use.

I usually sell those as soon as I find them.

I find losing a turn to apply an item other than a HP restorer generally isn't worth it.

Also, PP Up and PP Max are good, but which Pokemon to use them on?

ARGGHHHHFFF! CHOICES! CHOICES!

Have you guys ever regretted a name you've given on of your pokemon?

For example, in Firered, I caught a Tauros. I named it Big Butt, beacue that was the name of that bull in Banjo-Kazooie. I transferred it to Diamond, then I realized that NO ONE would get that reference and it would just look like I have an immature sense of humor, but I couldn't change the name because I transferred it.

Can't say that I have. I keep my names family friendly. The most immature I've ever named one was Wang Joke, in my LetsPlay.

Its generally easier to regret names for your character or your rival though. I half regret McPants, only because whenever I try tell someone about the LetsPlay and his name comes up, it makes the LP sound really childish!

I've been playing Diamond (because I lost LeafGreen forever ago along with every other pokemon game I own) and I made it past all 8 gyms and ended up with lvl 45 pokemon and even made it past Victory Road...
Elite 4 have 50+ lvl pokemon...
And the only viable training area is Victory road which only has Steelix, Golbat, Machoke, Onyx, Graveler, Kadabra, and that one fighting/psychic dude...

Use the VS Seeker. Trainer battles give 1.5 times the amount of EXP a regular wild battle would.
