mainly because it was a pack-in, which generally negates those sales since it's not necessarily a conscious choice to buy the system for that game.

That'd be like saying that Streetpass Mii Plaza is the best selling 3DS game since it's preloaded in every 3DS.

Not surprising with all of the sports items coming into the game.

It'd be kinda cool if he became playable in future Mario Sports titles. He'd be perfect for it.
