Local Best Buy only had 30 Dark Pits. Handed out tickets and everything. I got stuck with the consolation prize: a coupon for five dollars off any Wii U game, only valid today.

My best Buy ended up getting like 25 including a surprise shipment, I was the 19th in line and I was able to score one, I had the opportunity to get 2 or 3 but I passed out on it so others could snag him.

If I had seen your post in time Aqua, I would have grabbed an extra for you...sorry man.

It's fine, I don't expect other people to take more than one for me, that just means someone else gets disappointed.

I went to Bestbuy (which is inside a Future Shop) 1 hour before opening (no line, the line began to form 15 minutes before opening), but there was no Dark Pit Amiibo. It was not even in their inventory. I sped up my way to an EbGames which were 5~10 minutes walk and they got some Dark Pit Amiibo left. I'm so glad I found it TT-TT
Now, I only need Pit to complete my Kid Icarus collection.

According to our confidential sources:
GameStop's 8/8 event will be amiibo related.
GameStop will indeed be getting a 3-Pack!
The 3-Pack will be a GameStop exclusive. (Not the individuals)
The 3-Pack will be a Retro Pack featuring R.O.B., Duck Hunt, and Mr. Game & Watch.
Each store will have approximately 30 available for preorder.
Preorders will be the traditional "head in store and put $5 down" style and NOT utilize Web In Store.
If a location allows more than their allocated preorders, the customer will simply not receive their pre-order. No exceptions.
As of now, the 3-pack is the only pre-order officially announced internally for the 8/8 event.
As a side effect, GameStop most likely not be reeciving individuals of R.O.B., Duck Hunt, or Mr. Game & Watch.
There is a rumor that Pro members will be allowed in to stores an hour early. I am unable to confirm this at this time.

Also, hoping ROB isn't too hard to get the Japanese version of. I mained him in Brawl and a bit in Sm4sh so I want to get both figures of him. The main problem is that lots of people want to do the same;;

There were still 3 other Palutenas and 2 Dark Pits when I got that Palutena and Little Mac here in UK.
There were also other Dark Pits but no Palutenas in other stores in the area.

The rumor of the Retro 3-Pack pre-order event at GameStop has been confirmed.
This Saturday, August 8th. R.O.B., Duck Hunt, and Game & Watch. All allegedly GameStop exclusive. The three-pack is definitely exclusive.
Limit one preorder per customer, $5 down payment required.

As always, limited quantities. First come, first serve.

The flyer posted online with details of the event said "Doors open at 9AM", but the nearest GameStop to my location opens at 10 on Saturdays. Not entirely sure about this contradiction. You may want to get there early as a precaution.

As if people don't already show up early.
