wait so how do I host a server?

It'd be pretty handy if I had another ranged brother. If you can use a bow pretty well, I can give you some supplies and shit for armor and bows and arrows.

Haven't tried a bow yet, but it's on my list. Mostly asking how I connect to multiplayer servers though.

now how do I host a server?

You need to enter your external IP (found on the website I gave you) into your URL and hit enter, and you will be prompted to be a username and password. Put the username and password of your wireless router, and you should be able to get in. Then you need to forward port 7777 on your ipv4 adress (which can be found using "ipconfig" in command prompt), then get the dedicated server software and open it. (Or do the host and play thing, which is not recommended)

I still have Molten Armor. I have a Cobalt Helmet, but I need the full set. I'm pretty much a sitting duck in the Hallow/Hardmode Corruption.

so me and my friend who do our game together have decided on a plan

We will attack and destroy the corruption before entering hardmode. How will we accomplish this? Simple. Purification powder everywhere. A large scale coating into wherever we can get it.

With luck, what will end up happening is The Hallow can spread across the places we purify before The Corruption can start spreading outward. We'll still need to go and start planting hallow seeds wherever we can as soon as we start hardmode, but it'll still be difficult.

Hopefully this works. If it does woohoo great shit.

So I have a friend that can host an almost 24 hour server, but this will come at the cost of no admin commands from yours truly, and we might have to use a different map, since he is VERY reluctant to use mine.

What do you guys think?

I wouldn't mind. We could make a nice large map, prepare some walls to protect us from corruption and hallow, go fight WoF, and have more rare ores to find. We just need to grab all our shit. LIKE MY SAFE N PIGGY BANK

Yeah but I keep my cash in my piggy bank, and I'm not going to go get some gold just for another. Same with my safe.

i could try to join the next 24 hr server but i'd need to gather some supplies for my character. all i really have is copper/iron tools right now. is there any tier of equipment/health/mana at before i join?

:/ Im pretty sure if you join a Multiplayer server you end up upgrading pretty quickly.

Within 24 hours any of ym characters entering a server usually they have a higher tier of armor than whent hey started, mostly because of folks throwing demonite ore they were about to sell or something. I dont think Ive actually done an actual Singleplayer cycle yet.
