This is also the brother who bought me a Wii, and extra controller and nunchuck, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 out of the blue one day.

I just remembered I had a 50 dollar Future Shop (Canadian electronics store olololol) card waiting to be used

And the price of the 3DS there already dropped to $170 there, so I'll be able to pay $120 for it

So if I get it tomorrow and become an ambassador, I'll effectively be making a profit of $80, $130 or $180, depending on how you value GBA games ($50 dollars for the NES alone and add $150 if you'd pay $15 for each individual GBA , $200 if you'd pay $20, and $250 if you'd pay $25).

Most people are pricing them around the cost of SNES games on the virtual console, so $8, with most agreeing on a maximum of $10... Others think they're more worth around $7.

Hmm... interesting news. I went to Future Shop today, and got myself a 3DS, as planned. The only thing is that the lady who gave me it informed me that the price was actually still $250, and the only reason it was $170 online is because that was only the online price, and in the store it would be $250 until the official price drop date, so I would have to buy it there for that price. I will still get it for $170, because of a "price protection" where I can just bring in the receipt and ask for $80 when the price does drop (so I still get the games with the cheap price), but what if other stores are still selling it full price and don't give the price protection?

As for the GBA thing, I was really only comparing it to retail price, at stores where they sell old games- the only place where I'd be able to find GBA games for less than about $13 would be on eBay, and even then those are hard to find. But I suppose that if they sold on the VC service they would be around $10 (Link's Awakening DX is for I think $6-$7 anyways), which means I'm still making a cool $30 in value. Hopefully.

My mom went to Wallmart today and got me the last 3DS there.
Granted, this town's Gamestop is practically covered in a layer of dust due to how many people actually play games here, so they probably didn't get many to begin with.

However, my brother was a fucking moron and said "he'd be willing to take it as a birthday/Christmas combined gift on Christmas" so now I don't get it until fucking December. The only thing I got to do was setup the system settings and log onto the shop.

I just hope Walmart will still have some there when my brother takes me.
But, if I have to wait until the 12th, and miss out on the VC games, I'll honestly not care a whole lot.

The free games are only Game Boy and NES titles, remember.

Can't say I'm hugely excited for the day we get to download the free games tbh.
