Honest confession.
When I played Smash bros. Melee I had no idea who Captain Falcon was despite having playing F-Zero on the SNES a lot.

I don't meet that many Captain Falcons (I stick to For Fun though). He's definitely not as overrepresented as Little Mac or Shadow The Pit.

Usually it's not very Nintendo-ish to pull it off at the very very last second for stuff like this.

The smash ballot closed this month which led people to speculate the results would be posted soon after. There's also been a few people saying "I can't say anything but sit tight for later in October" which has moved constantly as Nintendo does other things such as the online maintenance they did last week.

There's been nothing official said for a timeline for things to happen, just speculation.

Good way to respond. Not the best approach, but it worked if you were planning on coming off as overly aggressive.
