I guess it is because this is not the AZ minecraft server anymore. Was waiting for it to happen anyhow.
Yeah, Great Handsome Oppressor asked and I said it was up to him. It's still fine to have its own thread for it, though.

I downloaded the Tekkit thing

Delete the Tekkit launcher you downloaded, delete Minecraft (save any maps or texturepacks you had in another folder if you want), and reinstall Java. After you reinstall Java, install Minecraft, then try installing Tekkit again. You might just need to have a super clean file.
The nice thing about Tekkit is that once you get it installed, you can modify your original Minecraft folder as much as you want with no repercussions - Tekkit has its own launcher and creates its own Minecraft folder that it draws from. This does mean that any texturepacks, maps, and server information you have on Tekkit won't be in your Minecraft game when you open it normally.
Another thing - when I first downloaded the Tekkit launcher, I double-clicked it and nothing seemed to happened. I went into my /roaming file and saw that a .tekkitlauncher folder had been created, and I just had to start the launcher from the .jar file inside. (I created a shortcut to that so I don't have to continuously do that.)
