I thought about sending in my 3DS because the lower screen is scratching the upper screen a bit, but so far, it hasn't really bothered me that much.

You should send it in then. People have been having that problem, and many have had their top screen ruined by it.

Last I heard Nintendo's refusing to fix that particular issue, instead suggesting people place a cloth in between them when closing the system :/

Not that I've heard. They've been repairing systems with that problem. A few of the people who first reported getting Streetpass Miis from Nintendo had sent theirs in to repair the top screen after it had been damaged by the bottom screen.

Hmmm.
I haven't even heard about this issue before. Interesting...

The main repairs Nintendo has made has been to the screen issue, the loose hinge, one or both speakers being faulty, the circle pad being loose (like if you jiggle your 3DS, the circle pad moves) one or more directions on the D pad not responding, shoulder buttons not depressing/responding, and one or more of the A/B/X/Y buttons breaking (I've only heard of this happening to one button of the bunch). Except for the first two, the rest are fairly rare and happen to pretty much all Nintendo handhelds (especially this close to the initial release).

But if you have any of these issues, it's probably a good idea to send it in, especially since it's under warranty (at least if you register it on Club Nintendo).

With the price cut, it's really tempting to consider splurging for a 3DS. I need to spend my cheddar on school though.

I thought some stores already cut the price because they didn't want the systems sitting there, not selling, collecting dust. :psyduck:

I should go out and check to see if anywhere around here has dropped the price early.

According to Wal-mart's Website, the price drop will still happen on the 12th.

I'm actually heading over to Wal-mart with some friends tonight to get some things, and we're waiting until around midnight to go, and while there, I will ask about the rumored price drop.

If the rumors are true, I'll go ahead and pick one up while I'm there, if they are indeed just rumors, I'll be sad and have to wait a few more days.

Apparantly Wal-Mart DID drop the price today.

But my brother is coming hope on Thursday sometime, and I think he offered to buy me one as a late B-Day present since he is in the Army and was not here for my recent birthday.

BUT I don't want to pressure him into getting me one the day he comes home because that is fucking rude and that would make me a spoiled little bitch.
But if he doesn't on Thusday, than I'd miss out on the free VC games.

I guess I could just...not so casually bring it up and see what he does.
