Well, with Roy back, time to wait Katie's comic response.

...anyway, I haven't even touched Roy in Melee, but since he went Starkiller animation-wise, how is he now?

Lucas seems slower than he was in brawl, probably to balance some of the beef he brings in his attacks. Roy feels much better than he did in melee. Ryu is super strong but I have to get used to not holding the A button with normal attacks. His light up tilt is super fast and good for combos. All three are pretty great overall, Team Sora outdid themselves with these characters.

roy might be the fastest faller, he seems heavier than ganondorf gravity wise. he is not an off-stage character.

Only DLC dude I sprang for was Ryu, didn't really see the point in buying veterans, even if there are some heavy changes on them. At this point I'm just waiting for more newcomers to be announced.

So far the Ryus and Roys (haven't run into a Lucas yet) I've been fighting in For Glory have been pretty good, but not too vicious.

And yes, I feel like the next comic Katie does pretty much HAS to be Smash related because of Roy.

I'm enjoying Roy more than I thought. I ended up getting the $20 pack last night simply because my friends were coming over. Ryu is pretty cool too. Love the N64 Kirby stage

I'm been playing Lucas on For Glory p.much all afternoon now. Things I noticed about opponents:

- Other Lucas generally knew a little about the character, particularly downthrow combos

- Ryu varied from terrifying to pathetic (I just killed one by spamming PK Fire at him while he tried to recover)

- Roy is too rare for me to comment on, none of the ones I've faced have been any good. I've heard the character himself is pretty solid this time 'round, though.

Welp, got the 3 new fighter, making amends with Roy by giving him the Eliwood costume and calling him Eliwood. But they really should nerf Roy in the next patch. He's honestly one of the most powerful characters I've played as, and his fast falling that hurt him last game makes him a demon in Sm4sh. And his dash attack is a little to strong for a dash attack.
Well, at least his recovery is a little weaker.
