If you get the upgrades for the sonic batarang, you can hit a guy directly and insta-knock him out. Though, after that you can't use it near that guy anymore. Also, you can throw it anywhere to attract someone. Though if no one has a heartbeat sensor on they might ignore it.

Ah alright I see. Using normal batarangs works pretty well for having guys turn around.
And using the remote batarang to move around and have them look for where it came based on it's landing is pretty handy. Though that insta knock out will definately come in handy.
I have all upgrades except for one that's still locked. I've beaten the game but I'm not sure how to get the last upgrade.

Met Azazel, took down Deadshot, got Zsaz and Bane and found the "Identity Theif" and I love who it really is, although I had my inklings from the start.

Got Riddler left and that's about it until Gotham City or whatever the 3rd is

But yes. I'm thinking the next game will feature a take on the Cataclysm storyline. It's hinted at with Azrael talking about a disaster and it would allow them to use the whole city while shutting sections off due to property damage. Although another possibility is the Legacy virus. Firefly/Firebug is another possibility, but I don't see them getting used as the main baddies.

Is it the speed grapple from doing AR training? Cluster freeze grenade from the Hot n cold side mission? Other than that I think those are the only two optional unlock gadgets that don't require leveling up.

Must be the cluster freeze grenade. I don't think I did the hot and cold side quest yet.

You get the mission from Harley the second time you go back to the Steel Mill.

Just finished all of the side missions. I ended up doing all the challenges except for 5 of the physical ones that were just being a pain. I think it adds the catwoman trophies to the total, because I still had half the subway and most of wonder city left to do when the ridder's location unlocked for me.

Also, is it bad that the remote batarang nonsense ended up being way easier for me than the gliding puzzles? I swear they took me twice as long.

The batarang was pretty easy to control, but the gliding was kind of finicky. I mean, sometimes batman will hit just outside of the pressure pad and make you restart.

Yeah, I kept hitting the edge of the buttons too. Or it would be finicky about gliding off a wall button. Also dropping off the line launcher he would sometimes take an extra couple of steps and screw it all up. All in all though it didn't give me too many headaches.

It's a pain seeing as how you can't drop off directly under your tight rope, so that usually ends up messing things up.

One way to hit some tough Riddler switches that require no touching the ground is to grapple, cancel into a glide, and land where needed. Feel free to take as much distance as you need.
