Yeah, there's a lot of melee action, because the movement makes it kinda hard to shoot people.

I use cannons though. Taurus Cannon with four stars in melee? thank you jesus.

I have already StreetPassed like three people who have been playing this game, and none of them are giving me weapon gems. Come on guys, I put my best weapon in a gem for you. You could at least repay me.

I feel like I would be the one person in multiplayer that would run around and projectile spam. I don't like meleeing stuff in this game because I'm too afraid of dying. (Something that has carried over from my experience with the deathtrap that is the original Kid Icarus.)

man when everyone is dashing around everywhere and they can dodge anything at will

projectiles becomes really bad

un-avoidable melee becomes much better

So he's my full thoughts on the game, condensed to a link due to fucking massive amounts of text.

You've fallen into the same trap there everybody does with video games. Heavy on the synopsis, not so much on everything else. "This is good" isn't as interesting as "this is good because"

You know one reason I love this game? The pacing. Absolutely amazing. Especially the flight stages. Instead of looping MIDI tracks, they have a full orchestra actually reacting to what is happening. The flight stages are the closest I've seen to a video game being a roller coaster or theme park ride, and I mean that in the best way possible.

Another thing I love is the tone. I was worried originally that the voices would be bad because I assumed the story would be somewhat serious, but the tone matches the voices perfectly. I actually love listening to every line and corny joke the characters tell.

After 3 or 4 dashes your dashes have more stagger afterwards and don't go as far and also tire you out. Keep the pressure on a dashing person and they'll put themselves at a disadvantage. Its covered in one of the tutorial videos and shows you an example of how dodging gets worse and worse every time you use one.

Glad you finally got a good bow. I love bows; they look so much cooler than most of the other weapons, and they don't have as many strange properties that I have to figure out. (Like: Whoops, cannons are terrible at melee and make you move slowly; hope you can survive this chapter now that you've picked it!)

My Sagittarius Bow has some minor perks like homing boost (not that bows really need that) and bonuses to dash attacks (best), but also In-Peril Autododge. I've never quite been able to make out if that does what I think it does (as in, automatically has you dodge an attack if you're in crisis mode). Anybody know for sure on that one?

Wish it had burning, though...

Just beat the game. Loved every second of it. I want all of the characters in the next Smash. All of them.

Also, the Phosphora Bow is incredible, up there with my favorite weapons.

Just got this game and I don't see what everyone's complaining about with the controls.
Any aches this game causes are NOTHING compared to a full on Mario Kart 7 session or a late-game Super Meat Boy level using the keyboard.

I get some aches if my arm holding the 3DS is held upwards. Like, if it's resting on a chair arm or something. Just sitting there doesn't tend to give me any pains.

Also god I dunno how you people want any other control scheme, you need to move and look and aim so much that using the buttons or slide pad is just giving yourself a handicap.
