Grinded the Tetsucabra like six times, he kept dropping toad tears for a shiny instead of that Paddock oil, and I only needed one.
On the last try I got a Paddock Oil to drop, and my reward was like 3 or 4 MORE Paddock oils. I swear the game is fucking with me.

Sorry for double posting, but I got my hands on a Seregios weapon (the Hammer specifically)

I do not understand this voodoo whodoo black magic attributed with these weapons, but goddamn where has it been all my life

Once you hit G rank, you get Seregios X armor as well. Which has Edge Lore. Which halves sharpness lost, and prevents your attacks from being deflected.

And all the blademaster weapons get purple sharpness.

My copy of MH4U is downloading. Holy god this game requires a lot of blocks.

approx. 75% of those blocks are for the desire sensor, the thing that makes sure you never get what you need from a monster

Plates have been nice to me for some reason in low rank. ....Stupid Chilling beak still hasn't dropped though.

I left my 3DS in sleep mode overnight. Went to bed and it was at 50%.

Woke up and it was at 62%. Methinks the game had some issues last night. Hopefully it'll be done by the time I get off work.

I was aiming for a Ceanataur set and then saw my chances at getting two of those daisies beaks

I think I've met my arch enemy, and its name is Frenzied Brachydios. I'm a lancer (practicing Guard Lancing, to be specific), and I always mess up my guarding and get busted by his explosions. Countering doesn't work at all, because I counter the attacks that put his little slime pools everywhere and then get caught in the explosions thanks to having endlag on the Counterattck. Either I'm gonna have to pick up Evade Lancing or a completely new weapon.

Mind you, I'm glad I got stuck on an actually interesting and challenging boss instead of something outright irritating like the Gravios Quartet.

This game is FUCKING AMAZING. I haven't even gotten to fighting any real monsters yet, just doing the weapon quests, and I'm already having a great time.

I haven't gotten through them all yet, but so far I love the Hammer and Dual Blades. Gun Lance is a little too slow for my taste, but it's so satisfying to use.

Going on my first "real" hunt today to kill a Seltas. I'm not really counting the Great Jaggi because I did the weapons quests and already fought some of those guys.

Great Jaggi was the joke of MH3, while Seltas is sort of the joke of MH4.

He's a bit tougher, but not much.

Especially since he's basically used as the main weapon of a much tougher monster later on
