Yooka-Laylee: The 90s Rare-vival releases April 11th!

My opinion on the matter:
I have yet to play the Banjo-Kazooie games, but I will considering they are pure classics. However, the fact that we are getting a spiritual successor to one of the best 3D platformers in what, the eight generation of home(-ish, thank you Nintendo) consoles. 3D platforming isn't what it used to be, and currently the latest best ones are the Super Mario Galaxy series in my opinion. I wouldn't consider the "Mario 3D" platformers, but more like 3D sidescrollers. Sonic hasn't pulled a good one out since Generations, and with that, I have named the two franchises who still do 3D platforming. With Sonic Forces on the way, Super Mario Odyssey looking like a possible "Super Mario 64 3", and this, the 3D platformer might be returning to its former glory for those who have yet to experience it.

If I missed anything about the latest platformers, sorry.

One last note: It should be Ookoo-Laylee, considering that's how you say ukulele in Hawaii.

Yooka-Laylee is sitting at around 75/100 on Metacritic. Jim Sterling gave it a 2/10, which is unnecessarily harsh and definitely an outlier review. He likes to DDOS his own website. Still though, I love his Youtube channel.

And also it's Yooka-Laylee because the devs are British and not Hawaiian, and pronounce the name of the instrument like native English speakers do.

Because Jontron decided to get political in a discussion and had some rather notable anti-immigration views. He made a video later on stating he was caught on the spot and made an unlisted video to share on the subject on his subreddit.

Best to avoid politics here though, most likely best to be kept on another thread.

Distancing themselves from someone who was already in the public eye, who then revealed that he was a piece of shit. That's within their right. Nobody "bullied" them. They decided they didn't want someone with public opinions like that in their cast.

Maybe--just maybe--Playtonic games doesn't want to appear to support someone who believes that 'White genocide' (oh, excuse me, 'oblivion') is a real threat in America.

Anyways, that was a political debate he didn't study properly for, that first statistic he quoted was "More wealthy black people are jailed than poor white people" rather than "More wealthy black people commit crimes than poor white people," which he obviously failed at comprehending accurately.

It's not like I'm putting those figures on a pedestal either, isolationism has a lot of drawbacks and just doesn't work, but the intention is good, which is why sometimes we need to educate people on the failings of such things through debates, debates which spurn companies to cheat you out of 3,375 pounds.
