WorldPainter map in progress

Making this for a world building project a friend and I are doing. Entire thing is 2,944 x 2,944.
The western area is done, the giant crack is done, detailing on Shitty Subcontinent on the bottom left is needed, and then the entire western 2/3 of the thing needs done. This takes a lot longer than I thought it would.

I should also mention sea level was reset to 110 blocks and default ground level was reset to 115 blocks, so the crevasse is 95-105 blocks deep. It's legitimately epic.

A project a friend and I are doing - gonna build cities and villages and shit. Why? For fun.

I highly recommend WorldPainter for making custom worlds - it's awesome! I'm making a creative world right now so I took out caves, villages, mineshafts, etc. and also made sure that no pockets of ores, dirt, gravel, or those new materials everyone hates are spawning underground. but you can also set it the opposite way - want tons of villages and shit? how about gold and diamond occurrence rate set to 5% instead of 1%? Make yourself a giant goddamn mountain FULL OF TREASURE if you want to. You can even set the height in your world where it'll plonk in the ores, so you can get diamond at y:120 if you wanted to.

Doublepost because this is a mostly dead thread and there might be at least one person who cares about custom worlds. :eng101:

That looks cool. I like like custom worlds. It looks better than most worlds I get.

Have you ever seen the custom Biomes I made for the old AZ servers? Those were so fun to work with.

I love customizing things in minecraft, I wish I could do it again. Makes me wonder if I should try and get the old bukkit server setup again, but with the release of proletariats, I don't think bukkit is very popular anymore.

I once had an idea of doing a chrono trigger type theme for a server, where players would spawn in The End of Time, it would be setup just like in the game, and there would be the blue portals players could take to other worlds, which would have different settings for each world. pvp, creative, hard mode, stuff like that.

Edit: The End of Time would be in the ender biome, which would be awesome!

Noff, if you want to do that, I will 100% back you up on that idea, I can supply a graphics pack and make stuff like dungeons for ya.

I can join servers, if I need to test anything.

gg mate welcome to 2011
I don't think there is an active AZ server at the moment, but there are tons of other servers out there! If you want a survival server I would recommend a private one with friends, because with strangers always turns into you trying to have fun while random assholes keep wrecking your shit.
There are also minigame servers, which are very fun! You can just google up some of these, but I heartily recommend mc.hypixel.net. It's pretty much the best one out there.

If you have NO IDEA about the game, I suggest playing some solo for a little while first to get used to combat, crafting, etc.

Everytime I setup a server, people play for like a week, then it just ends up being Angelic and I playing. It gets kind of hard to run a server off my computer.

Paying for a host usually ends up the same way, idk I feel people get too bored of minecraft quickly.

Buy god do I ever want to try and do AZcraft again, the first server, that was the best, best times.

Was that the one with the town system and we used glowstone dust as currency because the Nether didn't work on multiplayer? <3
