Also seriously how the fuck is this an argument ever, honestly.
If you seriously have to ask why it's an argument then you're too indoctrinated in Nintendo's propaganda.
And yes I'm serious. So far all I've seen are rehashes and existing IP's I care nothing about. I don't want to play another Mario/Star Fox/Icarus/etc game to the tune of $170 + however much the game is.
I think they're talking about the stupid backlash that's occurred because of this announcement... that a dramatic price drop and rewards for early adopters isn't good or at the very least neutral news (If a person doesn't care about the 3DS, this really isn't going to affect them). I'm kinda mindfucked by the fact that even with this, people are crying foul at Nintendo about how "the past 4 months have just been pure milking", that "this is just a new scheme to get people to buy and then drop game support", and whatever other insane troll logic they can come up with.
And none of what I've seen has been early adopters upset at the offer or the game choice they're getting, which would reasonably be the only group that frankly could have a semi-credible argument about the detrimental effect of this announcement (and maybe the people who want the price cut and want the option to purchase the GBA games, but it's still an option open for Nintendo and they could potentially be convinced to release them if people display a desire to purchase them).
If the price cut or the ambassador program doesn't appeal enough to someone to convince them to buy a 3DS (currently, Vita doesn't appeal to me, doesn't mean it's a terrible console though) then that's their prerogative, and their entitled to it. However, I don't see how this news can be taken negatively by anyone except the early adopters, and even then, caveat emptor is always in effect.
