So usually around christmas I get a bunch of cheddar (okay that's a lie, but daisies I'm poor and $50 is alot for a 16 year old with no job) so I'll probably get the orange box, mainly because I want half life 2 and I figure I could give away TF2 and portal as Christmas gifts. (well, christmas gifts that are like 2-3 weeks late, but still) Is this a good idea Y/Y

I need a laptop mouse. My TF2 experience would be 100 times better if I had a mouse.

Half Life 2 is a bit overrated in my opinion.

No. The Orange Box comes as a package deal. You get all or none. It's not possible to gift away a game from any package deal on Steam, unless you already own a copy of said game.

Wait, so by that you mean that if I had, say a copy of portal, I could gift away the one in the orange box? because i'm stupid and that's what i'm getting out of your statement.

Odyssey is saying if you buy it on Steam, you can't give anything away, but if you buy the physical product, you can.

At least, I think so.

No. The Orange Box is a complete and unchangeable product - it cannot be sold piece by piece. If you had a copy of Portal you could give that away and keep the copy on The Orange Box.

as in a package of games clustered together. There is no actual box, apart from the cd packaging.

the box is intangible, metaphorical

You have Portal
You buy Orange Box which includes Portal

You have 2 Portal, one can be given away

Why is this hard to grasp :psyduck:
