Someone should host it, I wanna check out that weird-booty world of houses made of melons.

If you're referring to the floating structure in the screenshot I posted, those are the floating islands, made by yours truly. Each island is supposed to be an elemental plane. You know, the regular world plane with the house, the Nether plane, the... farming plane, the mushroom plane... plane of melons...

i could upload the world to mediafire or something if people really want it, but there is no telling when that'd be possible because SHITTY DORM INTERNET.

Well, I recently got into minecraft, and have been enjoying myself immensely. This morning myself and a friend decided to make minecraft worlds that go along with DnD modules. We started off with an easy one, "A Dark and Stormy Knight". A level one module, since my friends and I will be starting off at level one, heh. If anyone else is interested, I'll drop the world info in my dropbox for you to use.

I'm thinking about getting this game for my birthday. (Possibly as a early birthday present.) Can somebody give me some tips for when I get the game?

No, but for srs, the wiki is super important.
If you go months without knowing something, and learn it later, you will feel real dumb. haha

There are so many little tips and tricks to learn it is impossible to even scratch the surface in one post.

But general tips:
1. Get wood to get stone to get iron. Iron armor is super important if you don't want to get instakilled by creepers.
2. Food is also important. You can either not care, and use zombie meat, or use seeds to get wheat for bread. Killing random Chickens, Cows, and Pigs also works if you want to cook up their meat.
3. Diamonds are found about block level 15 and under. Don't wander around above that level for hours and wonder "why haven't I found diamonds?"

Tips:

1. floating evil skyfortresses make the best bases
2. what are you doing, go make one

Logs can be cooked into charcoal which can make torches, just like coal. Mobs spawn in level 7? light or less so drop torches everywhere

Whereas your actual base is underground in the Nether and only can be found by pushing a hidden button to open the door.

1. How would I reach the Sky Base if I made one
