I'm running my own server, and have been busy with that, Komo keeps saying he can't play because he has no mouse for like that past year.

Finally have a copy of Minecraft for my own. Now I need a server to play on again.

I just tried to get onto your server Noff.

Advanced Machines is borked again, it says I need 4.7 to get on. -_- *siiigh* Ive not been playing FTB Just because of how incredibly unstable it is. Its fun like nitroglycerin. One big bang of fun and then the novelty wears off :/

Actually, the first 4 rules of Minecraft are never dig straight up, never dig straight down, never put a fireplace in a wooden house, and that you'll always die when your inventory is most full.

Rule 5 is to not play vanilla.

I break this all the time.

I don't agree with not playing Vanilla. If you play a modpack first, you might get accustomed to having these things, and get annoyed wondering why they are not in Vanilla. It is better to set a standard first.

Also, here are the steps to being successful in Minecraft:
1. Find food. This can be a small crop farm, animal farm, or simply diving head first in caves and using zombie meat as food(that's the way I used to do it! :P)
2. Find lots of coal/iron. Use the iron to make armor. Without armor, you will die very easily. The only way to die with full iron armor is if you stop eating and don't let your health regenerate or if you get mobbed by multiple monsters at once.
3. ????(Build a house, adventure off, build random things, do whatever you want.)
4. Find Diamonds.(They are found way deep underground at about level 15-0. You can press F3 to look at your coordinates)

I'm running Direwolf, Direwolf does not come with advanced machines, you will need to take the advanced machines from another pack and place it in your local Direwolf mod folder to connect.

So I'm looking into maybe getting back into Minecraft now that I can actually run it. How would I go about joining your server Noff and what is required to do so on the technical spectrum.

When you open FTB, click on direwolf20, then EDIT proletariats at the top, it should open another tab.

in the proletariats tab, click open folders, and you will download this

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?i7k85mwm81nt91o

and put all of the files inside of the AMVP zip into the proletariats.

After that, you will click on the JAR tab and open folder.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?gauddqi94nrtrwf

You will put this in it and close it.

This will put Advanced machines in your client, and give you the voxel player / menu addon (optional) which is what allows you to see other players distance from you.

just gonna copy paste my tutorial I gave others, pretty much this, the first one is needed, the second one is optional for name plates and menus.
