So it requires a single pulse or a consistent pulse?

Cause I tried flipping it on with a lever and nothing happened

Think of redstone as electricity for this

There needs to be an ON redstone object/item next to an engine for it to run, a simple redstone torch would do. Make sure you've got it properly connected to whatever you're using, the blue bit sticking out pointing toward what you're trying to power. If you're trying to pipe it, make sure to use conductive (redstoned) wooden pipes initially.

Conductive pipes? :psyduck:

I had the blue bit touching my pump and waterproof pipes leading from the pump to the geothermal generator and a redstone torch with redstone connecting to the engine.

You need a waterproof wooden pipe connected to the pump and the redstone engine touching the wooden pipe, I think. The rest of the pipes can be waterproof stone/cobblestone/whatever.

Too bad there's not like a definitive tutorial for this shit. That's what put me off to Tekkit, being so confus about wtf I'm supposed to do.

Yeah I've been looking for tutorials and I've found nothing so far.

Well, he's not using Technic; He's using FTB that was posted earlier. I dunno if the two are exactly the same so some of that stuff may not apply.

Edit: Still, it'd be a good place to start

Hm, maybe I'm just better off using a normal generator till I figure things out.

Is the AZ server ever going to be updated? The new update rendered it unplayable.

Noff's usually pretty prompt with his server updates; give it some time.

Have you updated your minecraft?

If so, maybe those servers haven't updating, and are waiting for things like Bukkit or something. Or are lazy.

It means that Minecrafts authentication servers are down.
