what a great game, when I finished it and companion cube came out I fist pumped the air shouted, YEAH, and started applauding.

Oh man the co-op ending. What. That was weird as hell.

I don't care how many times it's been posted; I haven't heard it and it's beautiful.

I haven't finished the game yet auugh I should probably do that this week haha. I'm ALMOST THERE but not quite. It really came out at a bad time for me...right before finals x:



edit: so I just found out that I totally missed out on the proper ending to Portal 1 :| My copy cut the tail end of the ending off, right before Chell is dragged off by something. So I missed SO MUCH in that 1 or 2 second bit that it actually screwed up the beginning of Portal 2 for me. I couldn't understand why I was still Chell because I thought she got away in Portal 1. Ughh everything makes so much sense.

Well for the 360 version and PS3 version, the ending was never patched in. It was only patched in for steam for the hint of portal 2. So if you were playing on a console...yea you were never supposed to see it.

You should read the comic tie-in as well, if you haven't already.

But you use steam to play co-op on the ps3

Portal 1

Oh boy oh boy I'm cleared to hang out with my friends on Wednesday and play Portal 2.
I have been waiting for this for soooo looong. I kept having withdrawals.

I'm at the part in old Aperture with the elevator I have to jump down and portal through.

Do you think I can finish the game within about 5 hours? I'm playing with three people who've already beat the game, and they're not too fond of watching me bumble about through a level. They'll help me out sometimes. (But they're not impatient enough to be obnoxious or sigh loudly while I'm playing.)

Most of it is simple, and there aren't any parts that require quick reflexes like in the first. If you get stuck, just look around and THINK WITH PORTALS. And thermal discouragement beams. And super-colliding super buttons. And aerial faith plates. And hard light bridges. And excursion funnels. And repulsion, propulsion, and conversion gel.
