Ganon and Game and Watch are the ones I want, I might pick up duck hunt for my brother if I can snatch that up and then I think I'm good amiibo wise after those and the Yarn Yoshi

For the record, if you're really desperate, a Famicom colored R.O.B. will be the one released in Japan with the gray NES R.O.B. releasing everywhere else

Also, there will be a few Animal Crossing figure Amiibos, as well as an 8-Bit Mario Amiibo.

That is the understatement of the century. But at least they admit it.

They have their hands full with amiibo 'cause they don't want to share them and hold on to them like a little child clings to its candy.

I meant to post a funny picture of Miyamoto holding a lot of amiibo in his hands but only found pics where he has one in either hand and I am no good at photoshops so I can't deliver, please use your imagination.
...
Please understand.

Wii Fit Trainer was flickering on Amazon lately, I missed it because lol "1-click buy lol NO LOGIN EVERY TIME YOU SUCCEED IN GETTIN ONE AND MISS IT" bullshit.

Fuck you Nintendo, this shit shouldn't sell out in 3 minutes.

They said at one point in the past that they were expecting people to treat these as peripherals for the WiiU, i.e. only have a couple of them, and use them for a few games. What they weren't expecting were people wanting them to have as figures/collectibles, and/or wanting to have lots of amiibo (whether one of each or just a large selection of favorite characters).

They've gotten over that part, but the double/triple thing really underlines the demand on these things. Even I didn't think the supply disparity was that bad.

So the other day I went to a Ma & Pa retro game store. On the far wall, high above everything else, they had amiibo.

Every single amiibo.

Rosalina, Lucario, Pit, Shulk, Ness, Robin, Lucina, Wii Fit Trainer. bodaciously every amiibo except Marth and Ike, with at least three copies of most figures.

All of them, barring Mario et al, were $80.

I actually considered getting a Robin, but then decided that I didn't want to support that kind of price gouging. But the knowledge that they are available so close to me is nonetheless infuriating.

Bro got Ganondorf and Rosalina. I'm helping him by keeping a list of amiibo he doesn't have.
