I never played the Pokemon Ranger games.

It sounds to me like you 'Surf' on a lot of those Pokemon anyway. You can 'Surf' on a lot of Pokemon in the main games...

Flying a Pokemon should be more like a Star Fox Arwing-flying experience (free exploration).

I know flying directly to towns is for convenience and that's okay, BUT I WANT MORE!

Ah. In that case, just Doduo in the ranger series and a whole buncha Pokemon in My Pokemon Ranch.

Oh, and in Ranch, if you're a pokemon you can ride anyone else! Even a Silcoon or Cascoon!
And they don't move in that game!

I have thought the exact same thing once. It would be kinda cool, but It should be optional. mainly because the whole point of flying is to get from A to B in five seconds. Again, it'd be fun, though.

First, boxart


Second, Goroudon roams the wild in SS and Kyogre roams in HG. Having both Pokemon allows you to catch Rayquaza.

Third, there's some sort of event regarding Arceus and Cynthia. It probably has to do with the notched-eared Pichu event, which is accessed by getting a shiny Pichu from a Mystery Gift.

Fourth, there's now a PokeWalker with every game. Its a pedometer that levels up a single Pokemon by walking, as well as other stuff. Nifty.

First and Foremost:
Elm, Silver, and female Rocket.
Elm looks fine, in fact...even better! He has a scruffy unshaved chin now so that's a win.
Silver's design was messed up completely. He looks like he belongs with Team Galaxy (or whatever it's called). His jacket opens up in a weird fashion. His hair is way too short.
Female rocket looks like a man. She doesn't look like Cassidy anymore either.
