i've been replaying this kinda obscure game called super mario guy 64

it's pretty good I recommend it

you can get for the wii and stuff but I've been playing it on this failed nintendo project called the N64 cause i'm a purist and need a half responsive analogue stick

The N64 controller was made for Vortigaunts, I swear.

Nintendo actually put the analog stick in the center because they felt that other developers would be uncomfortable with the new control scheme, so the d-pad was set to the left side.

And Mario 64 also played a huge part in the controllers creation.

The only thing I don't like about the N64 controller (other than the obvious complaint) is how they went from 4 buttons to 2 again.

But it has the C buttons, L, R and Z

please name a game where the lack of X and Y is an issue

I don't exactly know of that many N64 games, to be honest. It's my second least favourite Nintendo console behind the NES due to a severe lack of games that interest me.

Banjo-Kazooie comes to mind. (I'm pretty sure you have to press one of the C buttons to activate a few things)

But the C buttons are right next to A and B

they're basically X and Y with 2 extra buttons next to them

Were you even born when any of these systems came out?

The fifth Gen was the first set of consoles to come out during my lifetime, but the first console I actually owned was the Gamecube towards the end of its life (I got the Pokemon XD special edition one in 2005). I mean, I had the GBC and GBA SP before then, but those were handhelds.

I was also around during the release of the fifth generation (not that I cared, I was two years old) and got a GameCube near the end of its life (also in '05).
Even though I only had it for a year or so before I got a Wii it somehow brings me more nostalgia then the SNES, which I've been playing since I was, like, three.

Edit: I want to play the Beta Luigi's Mansion SO BADLY

NSMBU DLC/Expansion staring green mario

20 dolla for eShop (I think you have to own the first game), 30 for physical but it's standalone

82 new levels (Same as the first game) and supposedly harder

we green now

Yup. The eShop version is only DLC, so if you want to skip the original game entirely (or are a stupid loser that wants everything physical and want Luigi's game to be separate from Mario's shit), you'll need to buy the physical game 2 months later.

But, since the gameplay is derivative of NSMBU, it might be better to just go for the DLC after breezing through the Mario side.
