They are intentionally not related to the player.

I'll run a multiplayer version of this update on my computer if anyone wants to join it, I'll get it setup now.

The contents are not player-specific on SMP. All chests share the same contents and can be accessed by anyone[2].
By default, each server has one persistent Ender Chest inventory. This means that the player can not find an Ender Chest utilizing a different inventory of items than another.
Ender Chests could potentially be used a sort of mailbox on multiplayer servers, where a Written Book would be used as the mail.

Ever since I updated my Minecraft to 12w21a,
I load a singleplayer world and seem to get a weird glitch where all the terrain is deleted an I am left with an empty void for a world.

This seems to occur the second time I load the save...

Does anyone know how to fix this?

The forum post for the snapshot says it corrupts any old worlds loaded. That's probably it.

This was a save I created today....
I might re-apply the .jar, hopefully that will clear it up. :psyduck:

Is there any way to aquire the full version through some sort of point of credit program? Im having a huge craving to play this game finally and every time I get enough spare cash to purchase it something comes up and I more or less spend or lose the cheddar.

Yeah, I have a "special" version you can use.

Auto-updates so you don't gotta worry about that.

However you won't be able to connect to servers that have "online mode" set to ON

Cracked copy. Allows you to play without paying but sacrifices "official" servers because they check the username you use vs. the Minecraft.net database to see if you're logged in.
